Markus nodded. “I’ve had practice. I’m good enough to live by it.” He smiled at Analasia. “I’d be glad to. I hope our paths cross again sometime.”
And while the rest planned their travels, Travis kindly offered to let Mark borrow his cabin. The boy shook his head. “No, thank you. I’d rather be in the tavern than alone in the woods.” It was the last sentence that confused him. “The mountains? What would bother me there?” He glanced to Ashemir, catching the vampire’s similar objection. “They seem peaceful enough.”

It seemed the boy was settled with staying at the tavern. The ranger could only hope for the best for him, and that he didn't get into trouble. Meanwhile, Ashemir got defensive when Travis mentioned to Markus that he should stay away from the mountains. While the ranger didn't attend to offend the vampire (especially since that was his home), but it was a mere warning, especially since he a young human boy. And he wasn't referring to just vampires...
"Beauty can be quite deceptive," countered Travis before taking a sip from his mug.

"The only thing wrong with puppies is that they're teething," Ashemir replied, eying Analisia warily. That better not mean that she would call him a leech publicly, either. Decades upon decades hiding in a cave only to be outted because some stupid grunt couldn't hold her tongue? That was the worst dealing of fate ever.
At Travis' comment on beauty, Ashemir could quickly draw up one recent example. Amidst the disgust he felt over that incident, that smug feeling also came back. What a jackass. Unable to hold it back, he suddenly released a burst of laughter. As the wave of laughs rode on, he lifted his hand to hide his mouth with a hasty rattle of chains. They already knew there were fangs in there, but it was just habit to.

Analisia watched Ashemir burst out laughing, one of her eyebrows shooting up precariously high. But she couldn't help but smile. It was a warm smile, and one that made her eyes almost sparkle with delight. One hand moved, almost of it's own accord, to brush against Travis'. The atmosphere was so pleasant, so welcoming. It made her forget her worries. She added her own small chuckle to Ashemir's though only for a moment. "You have the most beautiful laugh Ashemir. If you weren't such a sour puss, you might actually make good company." She says playfully, winking at him. "How long do you intend to travel? It might actually be nice to meet up again another time, perhaps next time it won't be so tense at first." She smiles at him, then turns that warm smile over to Travis.
Then with a small gasp, she turns over to Markus. "Oh! Markus, have you ever tried to paint with berry paste? I hear that they make the most wonderful vivid colors. Perhaps, if you would like, I can come back here in a few days, and bring you the berries and leaves needed to make it. And then you could paint me that landscape I had mentioned." She smiles encouragingly.

Mark laughed lightly along with Ashemir and Analasia; their cheer was contagious, even if only for a moment. For the time being, he ignored the fact that Travis hadn’t really answered his question.
He smiled at Analasia. “No, I haven't. I’d be glad to, but...” He glanced between Travis and Ashemir. “...You’re traveling with them, right? I’d rather not interrupt your trip. I’m sure we’ll run into each other again some time.”

It was quite an odd moment when Ashemir started to laugh at the ranger's comment. Quite frankly, it seemed to have melted the tenson the away, at least for a short moment. When Analisia smiled at Travis, he couldn't help but smile back. Somehow, when ever he stared into her brown eyes, he felt safe and happy, not just because she was a werewolf.
He then turned his attention back to Markus. It seemed the ranger forgot to answer the boy's question, which was a bit embrassing for him. "Yes, I'm traveling with him. But, you don't have to stay behind. I'm quite sure Analisia, Ashemir, and I could protect you." It seemed quite strange for him to place trust in a vampire, but after conversing with him, the blonde didn't seem too intentive in harming the child, or any of the other two. While Travis knew his answer in partying up would be a no, it was still worth it inviting the kid, at least showing that he didn't want him to stay by himself.

Ashemir's laughter just kept pouring out when Analisia and Markus joined in, and he wished for a moment he could explain it, but with Markus there, it was hardly an appropriate conversation. Although if he had known that the ranger knew Valmar as well as he did, the vampire would have parted with the amusing fraction of his story.
Finally, the blonde started to quiet down, then his expression completely blanked at Analisia's comment, briefly flickering from indignation, to confusion, to a softer expression every couple of moments. Flustered, his cheeks turned a light pink, and he opened his mouth, only to wordlessly close it. He settled on glancing away, content in pretending that Analisia hadn't said anything at all. "...I don't know when I'll be traveling again." He could tell them he would be staying in Issilt.... Did he WANT them to know he was staying for a prolonged period of time in Issilt? May just have to settle with being vague. "But you might be able to find me in As the Dove Flies if you're lucky."
Again Markus was invited, and Ashemir would have sworn on whatever god they believed that he'd be good around the boy if he meant to completely break what reputation he had. "Will the innkeeper refund rooms?" he asked instead. If he was the innkeeper he wouldn't. Unless the patron had a good reason, and 'oh, I'm just going to go with these guys' wouldn't count as a good reason to him.

Analisia chuckled again at Ashemir's response, then smiles down at Markus, since she was still turned towards him. "Yes, I am traveling with them still, but I go about all the time. So it wouldn't really be a bother in the least to get you those berries. My traveling never really stops, so perhaps we shall," she chuckles again. Then turns back to Ashemir and nods slightly. "Maybe I will drop by then, if only to give you a hard time leech." Analisia could tell that Ashemir was as attached to the child as she was, and found it quite endearing. It would seem that vampire's had hearts after all.
She chuckled again at the thought, then suddenly, it hit her just how tired she was. Well, she let out a big yawn and THEN realized that she was actually tired. Perhaps she should head out now to find a nice tree to sleep in, and catch up with the others later. She let the idea drift about in her head as she looked at the others. Would Ashemir attack her in her sleep? Would Travis continue his gentleman like behavior? Would Markus be alright here alone? The questions popped up unwillingly to the forefront of her attention, as such things happened when one was on the precipice of being tired and stressed.

Mark’s smile grew as Travis and even Ashemir persisted in inviting him along. He simply shook his head. “I’ll just stay here,” he said. “I only just got here, I’ve still got a few errands to run.” He did etch As the Dove Flies into his memory. That was in Issilt, and a trip that direction wouldn’t hurt him any.
He returned his gaze to Analasia and nodded. “I’d be glad to. If you find them, I’ll paint for you the next time we meet.”

Despite their requests, Markus was persistant in with staying at the tavern. With that, Travis replied with a smile and said, "I wish for the best for you, young Markus, and I hope you are persistant in your skill in painting." He then examined the others. Ashemir seems to be heading toward Issilt. It must be his second home, or a friend of his was letting him stay there since he was getting kicked out from his home from the mountain. He looked at Analisia and she seemed tired. He debated if he should go with her after escorting Ashemir. Afterall, it must be lonely to be away from her pack and being with her might give her comfort. Besides, she seemed like him.

"I wouldn't doubt that the only conversations you'd be able to strike up would be meaningless, dog." It looked like everyone was getting antsy to leave one way or another, so Ashemir stood up and slung his pack over his shoulder. "I hope to see you again, Markus. Be careful," he said, just a hair friendlier than his usual tone. With a jingle of chain, he gestured the other two to the door. Come on, let's go... It looked like Analisia was tired, though, so it shouldn't be too hard to give them a slip if he needed to.

Analisia chuckled slightly at Ashemir's comment. Then nodded her head, she stood up from her seat and bowed slightly to Markus. "Another day young painter, and another place." It was a basic wanderer's farewell, but she knew that it would do. She held back another yawn, then looked to Travis. "I guess it is time to depart." She sighed and walked towards the door, she needed to get some sleep. But she needed to keep awake enough to travel in the meantime. "I need a nice tree.... Just something to rest on." She mumbles to herself softly. She was glad to have company to travel with, even if they were a human and a vampire.

Markus waved farewell to his new friends, smiling brighter at each consecutive good-bye. “Until next time,” he said simply. He fished the last sip of his cider, then left the mug and some change on the table. Then he decided just to call it a night and headed back towards the inn rooms. Before he walked away he stopped to glance over to the trio and wave one last time, at least until he saw them next.

The ranger smiled and replied, "Of course," before standing up and putting away his chair. He placed a few coins on the table, paying for his drink and to tip the barmaid, before grouping up with his new compaions. He waved good bye to Markus, saying, "I hope we see you soon," before walking out. He wasn't sure how far they walk together, but hoped it was for was for a long time.

(Fin, I think. AND THEN THEY TRAVELED UNTIL ANALISIA AND TRAVIS PASSED OUT. AND ASHEMIR WAS LIKE "SHOULD I KILL THEM? ... ... ...NAH." AND THEN HE DITCHED THEM SO HARD.)
