The ranger felt bad that the vampire didn't have a place to live. While Travis knew Ashemir was a danger to mankind, it was a shame for him to not have any shelter. Still, he knew he couldn't let the vampire stay with him at his home because that was taking a huge risk. While the woodsman was quite a cautious and capible man, he couldn't risk such a stupid move. Plus, he would be inviting more vampires to his location. But, he knew the next best thing. "Well, I want to see if I could get a room for you here. If not or if you don't feel safe...you could come with me..." While Travis might know Ashemir hasn't experience much help from a human, it wasn't going to change the woodsman attempt to be charible.
He then turned over to Markus, who asked him more on his job. Quite frankly, he forgot he was searching for an assassin. "I hunt down criminals of all types, usually big-time murders and theives, but whatever has a price. And if you must know, I'm searching for an assassin: dark skin, blonde hair, skilled with a pair of daggers. She's really deadly. I'm curious if anyone have spotted her."

Ashemir wondered if Analisia would elaborate more on her answer for Markus. He'd like to hear about the workings of the werewolves more. But Markus was assaulting them all with questions, so he answered, "Three hundred seventy-four." In hindsight, it was a very long time. He had imagined living through the years when he had first been turned, but he quickly realized that he couldn't even fathom a thousand years. He still couldn't. "But you're young. You still have many years ahead of you."
He thought on Travis' offer. Then he thought back on Zephyr. He wasn't completely sure if the bitch would rat him out to Valmar, but in case she was, he would rather not be around. "I don't feel comfortable with that... I might just continue on after this chat." And make sure that the ranger didn't follow him to Issilt and see where he was going. He quirked a brow when the other man revealed that he was currently hunting an assassin. "I haven't seen anyone with that description, although she sounds like she would be easy to spot."

Analisia smiled at Markus' question. She didn't know how much would be acceptable to tell him about, and how much would be going into too much detail. "Well, of course there is the alpha, he leads us almost like a king or prince would lead the humans. Except he almost has a little bit more authority. The title of Alpha, it isn't given like kingdoms or other such inherited titles, it is earned. And because it has been earned, we give him all of our respect. The elders of our pack are usually considered.... advisors, of a sort. There are warriors and hunters, we have an ambassador, like the humans do. In many ways, we have much the same jobs as humans do, if we go about them differently. And few of our kind have one set job, we share the load, everyone doing a bit of everything. Then there are the loners, who integrate themselves with human society or disappear..." Her thoughts trail off at this point. Her gaze going distant, she missed her pack so much, but her exile was yet to be over. After a few moments, she turned her attention back to the table and smiled at Markus. "Hopefully that gives you a little insight to my people's society."

Markus shook his head. “No, I haven’t seen her.” But if Travis’s description was correct, she would be hard to miss. That would be someone to watch out for.
And then...The three-hundred and seventy-four year old vampire. Mark immediately whipped around and fixed Ashemir with a wide-eyed, awe-struck gaze. That was at least seven times as old as Mark himself! “That’s amazing!” he said. He only hoped he could live that long. “D-do you ever lose count?”
Analasia had her own intriguing answer. Mark listened patiently, tacking it down to his memory to both satisfy curiosity and keep it at hand on the slim chance it ever came in handy some day. Judging by the blank, distant way she finished her explanation, Markus guessed she lay in the ‘loner’ section of society. He also guessed that it would be a bad topic to ask about. “That’s fascinating. Thank you.”

Travis figured nobody from this table would have seen his assassin. Bit, it was worth the try. The ranger also would figured that Ashemir would refuse his offer, and he figured that was for the best. It would of been too dangerous for him to stay around here. Besides, it seemed he had his own business to deal with it anyways.
With that said, Travis wondered about the well being of the other two in the table. He didn't want either of the two to be alone, especially since Tiaelde was a scum-infested town. Criminals, rogues, vampires, and other strange beasts inhabit the town and its surroundings, primarily the mountains. The kid didn't seem much a fighter, and while Analisia was capible on her own, word about a lone werewolf inhabiting in the town will spring up like wild fire and she might become a target.
"Do you two have anyplace to sleep for the night?" he asked.

Ashemir listened fully to Analisia's answer, although she just went over the basics and then only a little bit more. Although while it sounded that werewolf society was closer-knit, it lacked the sophistication that vampires had. Or that it would have once they had established themselves....
He looked back at Markus, jumping slightly at the boy's enthusiasm over his answer. At the second question, he answered flatly, "No." Then he realized that that wasn't very much an exciting answer for a child, so he added, "But I probably would if I didn't write it down." After all these questions, he decided it was time to trap Markus in a question: "Why is it that you're traveling, Markus?"
Ashemir wondered why in the world why Travis would make him a priority for offering a room. Probably the condition of his clothes, and that the ranger apparently felt bad for him, something that the vampire was still having a difficult time grasping.

Analisia laughed brightly at Markus' enthusiasm over everything, he was a breath of fresh air in this doom and gloom world. She turned to Travis when he asked her and Markus if they had a place to stay. Wondering why he cared so much about everyone having a safe place to spend the night. "Actually, I am going to spend the night beneath a tree, if I dont continue on tonight. I dont know, but I want to get off the mountain quickly. I have already met too many vampires for my taste, even if I happened to like one of them." She winks over at Ashemir and then laughs again. Finally, she was relaxing and having a good time. It would seem as if the atmosphere finally wore off on her.
"Ashemir, if you are going to travel tonight, would you mind my company? I dont think that it would be a good idea for you to travel alone if you are wanted by the vampires on the mountain, and werecreatures do wonders for those that wish to have vampires stay away from them. Plus, it is always better to travel in packs," her pack mind was showing again, now that she had finally spoken to more than just one person at a time. And she really didnt want to relinquish the company that she had gained. In all honesty, she was tired of being alone all the time.

Markus nodded to Travis. “I’m staying here.” He retrieved the room key from his pocket and showed it as a bit of unnecessary proof. “I’ll be fine.” The real concern would go to Ashemir and Analasia, who both seemed ready to travel. He didn’t worry too much, though; they both seemed like they could take care of themselves.
In the meantime, Ashemir had turned the questionnaire back around, fortunately with a question Mark was happy to answer. “I’m an artist,” he explained. “I have to travel to work, and if I didn’t work I couldn’t eat and that wouldn’t be good.”

He should of suspected Analisia would sleep out in the woods and that Markus already had a room. Though, he still worried about the safety of the two of them. Markus, even though he seemed to be an independent person, was still pretty young. Analisia was a clear target for vampires and no matter how skilled she was in fighting, she was going to need a second hand.
"If must, I will also help escort you to a desired point," added Travis, "I know much of the terrain here and can lead you two out of here the quickest way. Besides, like you said, it's better to travel in packs."

Upon hearing that Markus was an artist, Ashemir's eyes brightened. "You are? What subject do you focus on?" Although, he remembered that Markus was very young, and so probably didn't have that much experience. He wondered if the boy's paintings were just very stylized. Or perhaps he was a genius when it came to the creative side of his mind.
Then he glanced at Analisia, regarding her with suspicion. He might like the company, maybe, but she was still a werewolf. She was going to wait for him to fall offguard, wasn't she? Or wait until he broke down and had to feast on something, and then she'd have whatever justification she was waiting for to attack him. But then again... while he didn't entirely believe that Valmar's lackeys would push him around or finish what their general had started, it might be better to be safe than sorry.
And then the ranger opened his facetrap again, and Ashemir's expression darkened more. Maybe Ashemir could fend off Analisia by herself, but with both of them around, he was more or less at their mercy. But then again, he had no intention of behaving badly, and they would have to go to sleep eventually. "I suppose if you have nothing else better to do," he answered. At least Markus would be safe in a room.

Analisia watched Ashemir's face, and instantly guess what he was thinking. "Dont worry, I don't intend to kill you or anything, leech. If I did, I would have already. Like I said earlier, if you need to feed, just tell me so I can at least know, otherwise I will kill you." She shrugs, it made total sense to her. "I protect humans, but there are some humans that just aren't worth protecting. Feel free to pick those ones off at your leisure, especially the damnable bandits that think to turn a profit by killing other innocents." Then she turned to Travis, why was he so protective? He already knew that she could handle herself, why would he feel the need to step in and travel with her?
In all honesty, she already knew the answer. She just didn't want to pursue that line of thought. "Markus, do you happen to have any of your paintings or drawings here with you? I would be very interested in buying a small one. I love art, one of the things that always draws me to the cities." She smiles at the kid and shrugs again.

Markus returned Ashemir’s cheer. “I usually stick to portraits, but sometimes I try landscape.” He wouldn’t call himself a prodigy, but he’d had plenty of time to practice and, while not famous, he made enough to get by.
Analasia shared a similar interest, but Mark unfortunately had to decline her offer. “I’m sorry, I don’t. I have to travel light.” Speaking of travel, he was almost feeling a bit lonely. Everyone else was planning to leave right away. He would have tagged along, but he had a feeling they would have enough on their hands between keeping peace between three different races.

"I think we should stick with the plan," replied Travis. Ashemir didn't seem like the idea of being escorted, whether it was because he didn't trust having a werewolf guarding him or the fact that a human and werewolf was mendling in his affairs. Either way, if Valmar's goons were after his head, he was going to need protection, until they were clearly out of city limits.
Analisia also didn't seem too comfortable with Travis tagging along. It might of been the pride in the fact that she's suppose to be a guardian, so she doesn't want to see a human harmed; or she's confusing the ranger's help as courtly behavior. It didn't really matter for the woodsman what she thought, he has concern for her as a fellow creature of God and, dare he say it, as a friend. Even though she was capible of handling herself, he still wanted to fight by her side and ensure she was safe.
Lastly, there was Markus. He didn't seem too happy about being alone. Travis wouldn't mind for the traveling artist to tag along, but the boy would feel like a total drag. The ranger didn't want him to feel abandoned, especially in this town. But, if he came along, he would be in risk for danger.
"If you plan to stay here Markus, I would recommend you keep your visit short," Travis warned, "If you don't feel safe in this tavern, you're welcome to stay at my cabin. It's away from the mountain, so you shouldn't be too bothered."

Ashemir's gaze grew keen again when Analisia mentioned not caring about robbers or bandits. Well, he'd have to hope that some sorry looting bastards crossed their path. "Very well, then. And if you continue to call me 'leech', then I reserve the right to call you 'dog'," he said dryly. The vampire glanced from Analisia to Travis, and oh, it wasn't difficult to guess what was going on between that, although the werewolf's annoyance towards the ranger's chivalry caused a sly closed smile to form on his lips.
He turned to Markus, "It sounds like you must do fine work, if you paint those things and manage to find paying clients." It wasn't as though people paid the nearest half-baked artist to paint their lover or child. That was, unless the population of artists was deceasing. (Belch.) His head snapped back to Travis, when he seemed to say that being close to the mountain was a bad thing. "The mountain has many beautiful landscapes, though," Ashemir said quietly. He missed it already....

Analisia shrugged at Markus. "Then perhaps I shall have to hire you some other time, and have you paint me one of my favorite landscapes. I think that you would love it too." Then turned her gaze back to Ashemir. "If I get to continue calling you leech, I would not mind being called dog, though most find that puppy is more appropriate." She laughed softly, then smiled at Ashemir. It would seem that she really didn't mind his attitude, she had one of her own after all.
Travis was insisting that they stick together, which she really didn't mind, if it werent for the fact that just having him around confused her. She sighed and nodded her head. "Then Ashemir, whenever you are ready to leave. Was there anything that anyone needed before we head out? Oh, and Markus, I do hope to have the pleasure of your company again, perhaps next time we can discuss that painting." She smiles pleasantly and looks around the table. An unlikely group of friends and acquiantances. And she was glad for each of them.
