While Travis held Tartus off, Banez rushed into the house past the broken makeshift barricade. He hurried into the kitchen, approaching Demitri from behind and swinging his sword in a protective rage to decapitate the vampire.
Simon shook as his arms started dropping, while he curled up against the stove. It felt like his bones were going to bruise after this.

Analisia growled darkly when Zephyr punched her face. Just from the heat eminating from the spot she could tell it would bruise. When Zephyr leapt back to lunge with sword once again, Ana saw her chance, she rolled to the side to avoide the incoming sword, and took the insults with pride. She picked herself back up about the time that Zephyr backed off to beckon her. She looked at the girl with a small smile. "You want to see agility and grace little one? Let me just show you what grace really is..." She growls loudly and jumps at Zephyr, Changing into her wolf form and pinning the girl to the ground, snarling and snapping at her chest, leaving little tears in the woman's clothing.

Demetri kept punching Simon; so distracted he was that the vampire didn't realize the injuried human behind him with a sword. Banez's sword sliced cleanly through Demetri's neck, decapitating his head. Meanwhile, Travis was still in a gridlock fight with Tartus. Their blades were crossing, locked in a epic duel. The vampire exhurted his strength, pulling the ranger's sword closer to the ground.Travis knew he couldn't beat the vampire in a battle of brawl. So, the ranger punched Tartus in the face and threw him into the fire.

Zephyr wasn't expecting the change. She screeched and threw her sword up, the flat of the blade holding back the snapping, snarling wolf head that was trying to tear into her chest. She grunted with the force of keeping Analisia's jaws away from her flesh. Then she shoved with all her might and flipped the wolf back over her head with her legs. With the wolf airborn for the moment, she got back to her feet. This was useless. They couldn't get Banez like this! She tried to figure out where Tartus was, but without waiting to get to him, she called out, her voice loud and demanding. "Tartus, we need to retreat!" she shouted, raising the sword in front of her in a defensive stance.

Simon collapsed onto the ground. It felt like someone had just pulverized him with a hammer. He looked up at his captain, too much in shock to say anything in thanks.
Banez kicked Demitri's body to the side, turning to watch Travis and Tartus' fight and having a hard time finding safe gaps to jump into. The captain slunk around the two, going to grab a chair or something with weight to it to hit Tartus with from behind. But then he saw Travis throw the small vampire into the fireplace, and Banez grabbed the table by its leg. He dragged the table up onto its side and shoved it against the fireplace with all the mad speed his back burned and hated him for. The knight then pressed his body up against the furniture, to trap the vampire in the fire and burn him alive. "Travis! Help me pin this!"

Analisia flew when Zephyr kicked her into the air. She turned on her heels the moment she landed and growled at the vampiress. Then she heard Zephyr sound the retreat, she continued growling if only to make the point that she really should get running now. Her lips were pulled back into a snarl. And she started to paw the ground and circle the little vampire.

Travis listened to Banez's command and helped him shove the furniture. Meanwhile, Tartus was burning in the fire. Clearly, his plan went up in flames, especially when her heard Zeph's call for retreat. They needed to regroup and think of a better way to attack. Seeing the opening was blocked, Tartus proceeded to climb out of the chimney. He was able to climb out, but the vampire was still on fire. Jumping off the roof, he retreated deep into the woods.

Zephyr saw Tartus come out of the chimney in flames and take off into the woods. Taking this as their retreat, she threw something that flashed as she moved, striking the werewolf with the little silver weapon. During this attempt at distraction, she took off after Tartus to regroup (though they were the only two left from what she saw) and report to Valmar. Failure. But she hadn't exepected George to attack without order and she knew she was probably wrong for doing such herself. However, she had her defense and the entire thing had better not fall on her. She wouldn't be happy if it did... Shaking the thoughts of this away, she caught up with Tartus and ran off with him.

Banez wasn't sure whether to feel successful or horrified when he heard scratching as the vampire climbed up the chimney. If there was even just a rat scratching outside his window now, he felt as though he'd be hard-pressed to get any sleep. The captain looked at Travis, "Check on Lady Analisia. I'll make sure Simon is alright." His second-in-command was trying to get up at the moment, but he still felt like his arms had been liquefied.

Zephyr threw the silver knife and hit Analisia in the stomach. Analisia fell to the ground and transformed back into her human form instantly. Curled into a small ball. She looks up in time to see Zephyr run off into the forest with another vampire, this one male. "Damn that bitch... fucking whore." She mumbled in between ragged breaths. She looked down at her stomach and grimaced, then put one hand close to the wound and the other on the hilt of the knife. She pulled out the knife slowly, while her other hand covered the wound and started to apply pressure. She grimaced again, but pushed herself to her feet. Stumbling the entire way, she walked over to the cabin and knocked on the wood. Then fell to her knees, eyes closed.

Travis nodded his head at the captain and ran out to check on Analisia. To his shock, he found the werewolf kneeling on the ground and bleeding. "Shit," the ranger muttered as he ran towards her. He examined the blade that stabbed her and it was a silver dagger. "Double shit," he muttered once more. The ranger picked her up and carried her back into the cabin. He layed her on the floor and went to check on her wound. Clearly, stomach wounds were the worst for they were the most painful. He knew werewolves can recover but he wasn't so sure against silver weapons. Knowing Banez was busy with Simon, Travis started to clean the wound while saying to Analisia, "Come on, stay awake, you will pull through."

After a quick check, Banez diagnosed that Simon would be horribly bruised after this but otherwise had nothing broken. And his legs seemed fine, so he would still be able to walk. The captain looked over when Travis brought in Analisia, and immediately he sensed something was wrong. "Is she alright? What happened?" he asked before the ranger started working on her stomach. Banez' brows shot up when he realized just how serious it was. "Is anything vital hit?" he asked as he helped Simon sit against the stove again, which had a nice indent of his torso in it.

Analisia looked up at Travis with a weak smile when he set her on the floor, and shook her head. "It isn't that bad... Just a little silver." She shrugs, and then winces, looking down at her stomach with a grimace. She hissed silently when the ranger began to clean her wounds, then turned her head to Banez. "Look, guys really, I will be fine.... It didn't hit anything important, was too small to. It just hurts like a bitch... I am going to gut that little whore myself when I find her again." She snarls and then pushes Travis' hands away, sitting up. "Give me some bandages please Travis, trust me, I have dealt with worse than this and lived.... just enough blood lost to make me woozy is all." Her words started to slur but she had enough focus to give all three men a sharp look.

Travis looked at Analisia with consideration then gave her the bandages. He could trust her on patching herself up as he knew she was more than capible in helping herself. He got up to look at Simon. The red-headed soldier looked fine, but his arms were in bad shape, even if nothing was broken. So long everyone could walk on their two feet, things should be alright. "As soon Analisia is finished up, we need to start moving," stated the ranger, "It'll be matter of time before they send more troops in armor on our position. It'll be better if we can hijack a carriage and drive it to straight to Cados."

Banez frowned when it looked like Analisia didn't want the help. This was war; she didn't need to prove anything! Even the machoest soldiers learned that quickly when the healers tended to them. Even if werewolves were very durable, silver crippled them, didn't it? "As long as you're sure... but tell us if you feel faint," he said to Analisia. Banez helped Simon up and nodded to Travis, the despair of the whole situation hitting him, from the slaughter at the mountain to another oncoming pursuit.
