Rules: !. Posting order is lax, assuming that there might be different parties interacting independently of each other within the castle. Its silly to wait for someone to post if your actions of no baring on each other. !. Because Battlefield 3-1 and 3-2 are interconnected, people may freely move between either board as necessary. Essentially if you're inside the castle, you're in 3-2, and if you're outside of the castle, grounds, you'll be in 3-1. !. Anyone may join as long as it makes sense for you to be there.
Setting: SPACE The vampire's are launching their all or nothing assault on Cados. While hellfire rains down on the city, a number of vampire are slipping into the castle to make quick work of nobility and officials, and more importantly, hunt down the prince, and end the royal bloodline for good.
The vampires are starting off in a secret passage meant as an escape route from the castle, but otherwise the entire castle is open ground to start yourself.
(And I'm going to be lazy and take my time writing my intro, I just wanted to get this bit set up to get everyone in the right frame of mind. Intro coming sometime tonight.)

Seriah let his fingers run along the cool stone wall, following the grooves, and bumps of its rough texture. It reminded him of some of the more claustrophobic parts of the labyrinth in the mountains, though its construction was certainly not the same. He wished he could have brought more vampires into the castle with him, but he'd just have to make do with what he had, and hope Valmar made considerably quick work from the outside.
He dropped his hand from the wall, tightening it around the hilt of his short sword. His steps were light, painfully aware there must be life on the other side of the stone walls, though they certainly wouldn't hear their demise creeping its way in. He paused slightly where the passage split down two ways. Thankfully both had been marked on the map he'd put together. Leaning against the wall, he looked back to Ashemir and the others. "I want half of you to head down the right, until the passage spills into the hallway. You know the plan, kill the soldiers, and turn the nobility. The rest of you continue this way with me."

As far as Ashemir was concerned, the only thing this place had in common was that they were both made out of stone. This place seemed lifeless and foreboding, for both its occupants and its intruders. The blonde clutched his axe and looked to Seriah at his command. ...Well, he wasn't about to split off. His violet gaze turned to the other vampires. Well! They heard the man!

Several of the vampires looked at each other, before filing down the right passageway. A few mumbled and jittery comments being passed between them in excited whispers.
Seriah smiled towards Ashemir, before gesturing for him, and the remaining three vampires to continue after them. In the distance, surely from where the others had exited, there was a started scream, cut short. "Safe to assume they're going to know we're here now." Seriah commented dryly, as he pushed on a slab of wall, which slid away, opening into the library.

"Huh," Ashemir made the sound in some amusement. Yep, they sure were now. The blonde looked into the library, where a few people were conversing quietly or reading. Or, at least they had been, until they noticed the passageway open up and they saw the armed individuals on the other side.
"Who are you?" a rather worn, square-faced man in his mid-thirties asked, his tone between demand and wariness.

Lysand stared at the pendant in his hand, finger tracing around the swan in the center of it. He didn't know why he had opened the box under his bed. It wasn't like him to be so sentimental. His hand closed around it for a moment before he slipped it around his neck, hiding it under his shirt as he heard footsteps approaching his room. The door was flung open without a knock. He didn't react, just slowly raising his eyes to land on the guard who was looking less than composed.
"So it's happening already, is it, Desmond?" Lysand's voice was eerily calm as any part of him that would have writhed with emotion at this point began to shut down. "They're a the city walls?"
"Advisor Lysand, they've been spotted in the castle! I heard a guard scream and... They're in the castle!"
He seemed to stare through the guard for a moment. "Very well then." His voice was oddly distant. "I'm sure we'll drive them out. Now leave me."
Desmond nodded before scrambling from the room to run through the halls. He would make sure they were driven out alright!
Lysand stood up slowly, eyes empty for a moment before he slowly reached beneath his shirt, drawing his dagger. So this was it then. This would either be man's greatest triumph, or his doom.

"Captain!"
Banez's head turned to the door, where a messy-haired guard was huffing from running down what seemed like a hundred hallways.
"They're in the castle..."
"How in..." Banez' voice drifted off, while a look of despair crossed his face. But they hadn't even been spotted on the other side of the city walls! "You're sure they're vampires??"
"They moved in... no way I've seen before, sir..."
Banez raked his hand through his hair, thinking what this meant for the people inside and outside the castle. God help them all. "Get.. Get Commander Simon out of the castle. He's still in the infirmary."
"Yes sir," the messy-haired guard hurried away again.
Oh God, oh God.... Banez grabbed his shield from his desk and looked again to everything on his desk. Candles, maps, books on angels and geography.... He felt saddened to think of what might happen to it if the castle did fall.
And then Lysand....
The Captain rushed out of his room, running faster than he ever had before in his life to Lysand's chambers. Adrenaline shook up his system, and he had to try to not pound on the advisor's door, which he just ended up opening anyway.

Lysand turned slowly as Banez knocked on and then opened his door. He didn't make a move for a few moments before he slipped his dagger away. The guard captain didn't need any more stress that he knew his weapon would cause him. Besides if he was here... He couldn't very well slip off and kill Brenthor. He took a step towards the captain before he stopped, looking up at the man. "So. This is it." He stared into his eyes, nothing on his face. He wouldn't allow his wall to crumble today. He couldn't.

With a smooth motion the warlord unsheathed the baselard, and held it at point toward the man that'd spoken. "Your demise, or your salvation. I suggest you choose the latter and surrender." He trusted the other vampires to secure the room. Now they just needed enough time to let the castle bookworms make their decision.

How could he be so calm? Had he already submitted? Lysand couldn't give up now! Banez wouldn't let him! "Lysand, come with me," the captain said, taking the advisor by the hand and rushing again out of the room. Lysand had a brisk walk, so keeping up would probably be no trouble for him.
Banez eventually led him to the meeting hall. He stopped in front of a tapestry of a winged maiden with flowers for hair, and pushed it aside to find something in the stone. Eventually his fingers slipped into where the groove in the stones was slightly deeper, and he pulled as much as his muscles would allow. The hidden slab slowly opened up into a passageway, which was about six feet wide, although Banez only opened it to three feet for Lysand to slip in.
"I found this passageway after going through some recent plans of the castle. This will take you to the church," Banez explained, shaking now that his adrenaline was going unspent. "You'll be safe there... until things settle, or.. you can escape..."

Lysand kept up with Banez easily enough, staying silent. When he explained the passage and why he had brought him here, his brow finally wrinkled, pain slipping into his eyes for a moment before fading. He stared at the shaking guard captain a moment before he looked down at the tremble that was beginning to overtake his hands. He abruptly grabbed the guard captain's hand. "Come with me! Don't stay behind. It would be suicide."

"What are you talking about?" A young woman in a purple dress asked the strange blue-eyed man, standing from a table and backing up a step.
"N-no," a young man wearing a rose corsage said, his hand drifting to the hilt of a sabre. "We won't surrender to you!"
"Speak for yourself!" the square-faced man said to the young man with the corsage.
Ashemir stood by Seriah while the other vampires secured the room. Or the best that they could secure the room, given their numbers. Was that enough time? The blonde thought so.

Seriah motioned two of the three vampires to advance on the youth with the corsage, while replying to the woman, "We're taking over the castle. If you surrender, you may join us as a vampire. Your answer?"
The two vampires, one with a long sword, and one bare handed, moved closer to Corsage. Longsword lifted her weapon, smiling wickedly at the youth, before thrusting the blade forward.

Banez looked down at Lysand's hand, his white and red metallic fingers slipping in the gaps of Lysand's. Finally a glimmer of tears appeared in his eyes. "I can't... I need to find Prince Lorin." He looked into Lysand's eyes, the pain of his duty etched on his face. "I wish I could..." But if he left Lorin, and the prince didn't manage, then how could he live with himself?

"No," Lysand replied, shaking his head. "No! You can come with me!" His voice was tinged with desperation now. "We can escape together! We can go look for Angel Haven! We can- we can-" But they couldn't, could they? His hand grasped his tighter. No, Banez had just returned... They couldn't be separated again so soon!
