Ami sighed, this was getting no where "What if one group goes to Cados and another group goes to the Mountains." She looked around hoping for some support "That way we can investigate all of the possible suspects and not sit here and jump to conclusions." The Werecat had already made her decision about who had defaced Yina but she wanted others on her side too and to do that the others needed more evidence.

Dene nodded, glad that his opinion was actually taken into consideration. "Good idea. We shall do the same...right, Chieftess?"
Cheveyo nodded, as well. "Indeed, we shall."
When Harrier trailed off, the same realization hit her. She had never sent the loyalists to the Mountains! The Humans...oh, Spirits, the Humans!
She, like the werewolf Alpha, did not speak of her concerns, though. Plus, even if she had wanted to, the twin werewolves had already started to speak...
She mostly dismissed Tuari's words, but when a branch flew by her, she snapped to attention. Indigo's words were heated, and once they were directed at her, they were even worse. "You don't seem to realize that the dead werecats are all women, children, and the elderly. You need to take that into consideration." She said in response, voice level. "Four werewolves could easily take down those kinds of people if their was proper planning and enough surprise. Do not underestimate your own people."
"The mountains?" She glanced over at Tuari. "...We're too late to go there." She bit her lip with a sigh. "There's no use in traveling there now."
Baba was next, and he suggested practically the opposite of Tuari. "Cados?" She echoed, debating within her mind. It seemed like a good idea; they needed to mend their bridges with the Humans.
And finally, Amizade. Cheveyo shook her head. "The mountains would be a waste of time, as I said...we should focus on Cados. The time to investigate the mountains has gone by...we should speak with the Humans and formulate a plan with them. Plus, we'd have a better chance of finding something in the mountains, if we did go, that is, if we had more eyes to search it. So...I agree with your plan, yet I don't. I do know, though, that we really need to go to Cados."

"Tch. There werewolves will do as we please. We need not reach any agreement with you." Harrier eyed the chieftess coldly. "The werewolves and the werecats will continue to work as two separate nations. Even if we are not to blame the other for this sacrilege, we have no reason to work as a unified front." He turned away, still holding the werewolf pup in his arms. "Baba, in light of Yeszlin going missing, I will allow you to make the journey to Cados. You will be escorted by Kahjit and anyone he sees fit." His eyes narrowed and he looked up toward the sky for a moment. "As for the mountains... Tuari has a point. If the humans ran into the vampires there, then it is our duty to slay them. However, we will wait until we hear the humans' report before deciding how many to send." He turned his attention to the werewolves. "Gather our dead. We will bring them back to Naulus where they can be properly laid to rest beside our ancestors." With that, he began to walk away, seeing nothing more to discuss. He would have to meet with Baba later to decide what to do more... And to speak with him about his earlier show of defiance.

This was the signal to go; without a word, the members of the pack guard moved forward to collect the mutilated body of their fellows. Indigo chose an elderly man, whose eyes were shut and mouth pursed closed, as if he had seen his death blow fall and had stoically allowed it to happen.
"Don't," he warned, glancing over at his brother. Tuari was consulting the petite form of a young woman whose throat had been torn, looking as if he might be sick again. But the second brother merely shook his head, closing his eyes, and stooped to pick her up, carrying her bridle-style. Watching him closely, Indigo slung the old man over his shoulder, suddenly conscious of how long and arduous the return journey home was going to be.
But he wasn't about to argue with Harrier on anything, at the moment.
