Kahjit bristled at the harsh tones and looks being tossed his way. He could feel the unfriendly atmosphere growing thicker. But he wasn't leaving until he knew for a fact Yeszlin wasn't here. He forced his form to stay relaxed, even lowering his head slightly to show passivity to the various werecats watching. He wasn't here to start a fight, so his ego would simply take the bruising. "So if it was a werecat, perhaps acting alone, they might not even bring Yeszlin to Feryn?" He hardly thought a mother and cubs were the ones responsible, after all. But did that mean he was back to searching the entire country?

"Again, I don't think it was a Werecat," Aria said stiffly, tender to the subject, "but yes, conceivably, any Werecat with a grudge could have taken her elsewhere. Or any Human, for that matter."
The more time was spent, the more frustrated she was becoming. She had, almost fearfully, kept alert for any wolf smell other than Kahjit- which was a considerable feat, considering how water had made him reek- and had not even smelt a whiff. He would have picked it up much easier, knowing her scent and being able to pick it out of the Werecat aroma like the sun at night. She ached to do something, somehow act on the dead at Yina, and resented walking in circles.
