Valmar smiled as the Ambassador took further interest. "I'm quite sure we both can devise a grand plan to take down Seriah. However, before we can take down him down, we need to eliminate the Royal family. If the Royal family is still around, there is no way you can be the ruler of this country. We have the military; we have a perfect plan to storm the castle. What we need from you is to help us trap and kill them all. As soon as we create a new government, I'll make a recommanation for you to become the new High Advisor. We'll also fill up some of the cabinet positions with some of your noblemen, so you may want to make a list to who you want to be converted and who will be food. Eventually overtime, we'll build up your support and make you the new warlord or ruler or whatever title you wish for."

Brenthor snorted a laugh. "Quite frankly, if you cannot take care of the whiny brat yourself, I can see no reason for an alliance with you. The king is on his way out as it is. He isn't able to leave his bed; it would be easy to kill him. Then there's only Lorin, a whiny little brat who might just die of a heart attack at the mere sight of you. Killing him would be no problem. As it is..." He leaned forward slightly. "You're wasting a valuable chance. Don't waste your time hunting down the royal family while you're invading. That would be the perfect time to kill the warlord. You could make it look as if he died in battle with a human, and then take his place quite easily." He sat back again, eying him. He didn't trust this vampire one bit, because he really didn't see what the vampire would gain from an alliance with him. It could all be a trick, where he would be betrayed later.

So, the king is dying and his replacement was weak leader. This was going to quite easy for him. Knowing this wasn't going anywhere he decided to switch topics. "So, your prince is a whiny brat. Tell me, is there anyone else that boils your anger? I'm quite you have some political rivals?"

Brenthor's eyes narrowed calculatingly. He was going to have to work with this vampire for the time being, it seemed. Common sense dictated that if he refused he would be killed on the spot. "Political rival... Oh yes. The most powerful political rival there is. The true man that runs the kingdom." He pressed his palms against the table. "Tobias Lysand. High advisor to the royal family." He was quiet for a moment before he added, "If we are to work together, I want that man alive. I will be the one to watch him crumble, do you understand? It is I who deserves to watch him bow before me in defeat." Perhaps this was finally checkmate for Lysand, but... Brenthor couldn't help but feel he was little more than a pawn at the moment.

The general found it funny how most politicans were the same; how they all have their pety rivals and whatnot. It was quite amusing. While it is somewhat true that Valmar didn't have much a taste for Seriah, he didn't feel the need to betray his warlord that quickly, despite the fact that he told the human that he was willing to betray him. Maybe in time he will, but Valmar wasn't dumb enough to get rid of an ally that quickly, especially since they were close to the prize.
"Don't worry, I'll ensure that this Lysand is alive when we storm the castle. And you can be the one that will determine his fate," the vampire replied. "Any other requests?"

Yeah, go to hell, was what Brenthor thought, but didn't voice. Instead, he shook his head slowly. "And what, exactly, are you to require of me?"
This vampire was a fool if he believed that he had Brenthor's one hundred percent allegiance. Or much allegiance at all, really. Brenthor did what was best for Brenthor, no matter what. He didn't believe for one second that this vampire would just hand the kingdom over to him so he could just fight. That was just... illogical from his mind. However in such an arrangement... It could be possible to wrest control from him, wouldn't it? Perhaps... Perhaps...

Valmar stared down at his nails before looking back at Brenthor. "Well, what I need from you is, well, you. Is there a particular place would you like to be bitten?" The general smiled as he got up from his seat.

"Would it be too cliche if I said the neck?" Brenthor asked coolly. He had anticipated this the moment the other revealed himself as a vampire. He knew there was going to be no escape for him. Besides... The strength of a vampire might just e useful to him anyway. "Perhaps the arm, if we wanted to be discreet about it. It's up to you, I suppose."

Valmar gave a devilish grin. He grabbed the ambassador's arm and brought it close to his mouth. "This will only sting for a moment," he stated before thrusting his fangs into the fat man's arm. Only draining a little blood, the general retracted and stepped back from Brenthor. He grinned as he witnessed the ambassador's transformation.

His heart, which had been beating rather quickly stopped all at once a moment after the fangs pierced his flesh. Brenthor's breath left him in a gasp as he felt his organs shutting down. He came to realize something; he was dying. To become undead... You would first have to die. He fell from his chair, letting out a cry of pain as it engulfed him. There was silence a moment before he slowly rose again, opening his mouth in a sudden grin. There, blood dripped down from his newly growing fangs. "So where do I begin?"

Watching Brenthor transform reminded Valmar when he went through the same process. It was painful and alien change for him, but he knew it would be the better. "You must be hungry," stated the general looking at the scared bartender, "How about you feed on your first prey?" At least ambassador was lucky, when the Roman first fed, it was on his wife.

Brenthor turned toward the bartender, grinning at him with his own blood dripping down his fangs. So this was what it was like to be a vampire. To thirst for human blood. He moved toward the man, eyes never leaving the other's face. It seemed such a waste though. Every time he got hungry he would have to kill another... Unless... He moved forward with a sudden speed that started him. Before the man could think of even running away, the ambassador's dagger was in his shoulder. Pinning him to the wall behind him, he began to drink from the wound. If he kept this man prisoner for his blood, he wouldn't have to go out and hunt for another source...

Valmar smiled at the ambassador's energy. Who knew a man of size of an elephant could move so fast? The general found it interesting how Brenthor was trying to save his prey for later. "Ah, I remember trying to preserve a human so I didn't need to hunt. It's kind of like savorying a piece of candy; you tell yourself that you'll have a little but you end up eating the whole thing. Besides, after a while, the wound becomes infected and the victim dies."

"I'll just make sure to take care of him," Brenthor replied smoothly as he parted from his victim, blood dripping from his mouth. "It's just a minor cut on him after all... Besides, I'll just save him for on the road. Once I return to Cados... Well, I won't be needing him anymore, now will I?" He was quiet a moment. "I will be returning, won't I? I believe that I would be more useful to you working to undermine the humans than if I were to travel with you."

Valmar smiled. "Of course, we're heading to Cados. Before the main assault, the main leaders are going meet at the Dragon's Keep. Besides drinking and having a few appertizers, we're going to finalize the attack plan. Since you know the layout of the castle and still have ties to the Royal family, we're going to need you to come."
