(Interested in this position! Post coming up)
Mishaw walked around her small tent, looking over the variety of dried herbs and flowers. She took ahold of one, smelling it before untying the knot that held it to the rope that was strung from wall to wall. "Dandelion root, wonderful for both soup, tea, and to break a fever." As she spoke, she placed the roots into the small pouch at her belt. Then moved down further along the rope, taking hold of yet another flower. "Stinging nettles, a cure for stings of any kind," she plucks it from the rope to add into her pouch along with the other random roots and homemade cures. "If we are to head out to hunt, it is always good to be prepared, especially during the cold season."
She is speaking to herself, though anyone who were listening would think that she must have been teaching an apprentice. But no, it had been many years since her apprentice had fallen in battle. Many years, and yet, Mishaw continued to act as if she were teaching someone, if only to keep the roots and berries straight in her own mind.
When she was finished choosing her cures to take out this day, she exited the tent, her slip hugging close to her body and shimmering in the sunlight. Her pouch was heavy and laden with many different cures and roots, a cure for any possible injury in there. Or anything that could be cured with such methods. She chuckled to herself at the thought, as morbid as it was. She did not mind, she enjoyed healing the others, and never showed the pain of loss outwardly. A limping child caught her eye, how could such a thing have slipped her notice....
Walking over to the child, she leaned down to speak with him. "What is your pain, youngling?" she whispers softly. Smiling sadly at the pup. When he whimpered and showed her the infected cut, she sighed. "You should have sought me out earlier pup... It shall take longer to seep the infection out." She brought out her pruning knife from it's place in her belt, and brought it down hard on the cut, reopening it. She took a leaf out from her pouch and began to chew on it, her hands working to bleed out the pus from the wound. "It shall burn youngling, but it shall feel better after." She said after spitting the mushy leaf into her waiting fingers, then applied it to the cut.
The child screamed for only a moment. But the angry red had fadded around the wound. "It shall heal, but you must come to me later for more of those leaves, and apply them yourself next time. Do it once a day, and it shall be healed by the end of the week."
