Apply to be the Chief of the Werecat Tribe.
Remember, just because someone else has said they would like this position, does not make it taken. Post below if you are interested; things are only made more fun by competition.

When the sun rises, she falls.
When the sun falls, she rises.
Rinse and repeat.
The moonlight reflected on the water of the Rock Pool in an almost ghostly manner, giving off an eerie glow that shattered the relaxed feeling the serenity that nighttime should possess. A young female sat cross-legged by the edge of the shimmering pond, watching the waterfall pound the surface below it. It was all so serene, yet...the tension was almost unbearable.
Chey fingered a few thin blades of grass as she tried to focus. Her thoughts were running rampant and she found she was unable to set her mind on one subject.
She sighed and, ripping a few strands out of the ground, settled on a topic.
Werewolves. She thought scathingly, an almost inaudible growl escaping her throat. While she did not hate those muts, she preferred to be free of their musky smell and sometimes unfathomable idiocy. Yes, she and their Alpha had made a pact to keep the peace...and yes, she knew she had to obey it lest a large-scale brawl break out....but she still disliked them. Any werecat would. Her people were becoming increasingly wary of another offensive act, for it was obvious that both wereanimal groups were becoming restless. Chey knew change was needed, but she did not know where to start. Who would, especially when dealing with the likes of werewolves?
Bouncing between the races, Chey found her mind harping over those wonderful bloodsuckers. Vampires. The word was like a curse, so she did not dare let it slip off her tongue. Vile, terrible creatures, those vampires...putrid smelling, as well. Even more so than the dogs. That terribly sweet, almost intoxicating aroma made her want to vomit each time it met her nose. While she could deal with the scent of werewolves- albeit just barely -they did not smell like an overdose of perfumes and smelling salts and, when one grew closer, the overpowering stench of the blood that had been spilt by their victims...human and wereanimal alike.
Chey pursed her lips. She remembered how one of the younger werecats she had been teaching the ways of the werecat race had met his demise at the hands of a vampire, and cringed. Did those...things even have souls? The werecat in question was only about seven, and an orphan at that. Elias Quox...a name she could never forget. Quite possibly the most meaningful relationship she had ever had, and even then, it was more teacher-student than anything. Under a year ago, Elias' corpse had been found discarded on the edge of Feryn Glade, cast against a tree.
Chey had been the one to find it.
Suddenly, the petite female shifted into a golden leopard, the fur dotted with black disks. A low growl broke the silence as the feline righted herself and, taking a deep breath, she dove into the water. All her worries seemed to flee as the water surrounded her with it's chilling touch. Her senses went wild as she continued to go deeper, the water decreasing in temperature with every second.
She finally allowed her head to break the surface, filling her lungs with the crisp night air once more.
Thoughts of Elias returned and she slapped the water angrily, wishing to be free of the attachment ever so badly. Yet, that small part of her craved someone to be herself around...a friend, almost. She despised the vampires for taking away her only taste of what that was like.
I have to be strong... She reminded herself silently, climbing out of the Rock Pool. ...for Elias.
