Valmar swung his sword once more at Banez's sword, knocking out of his hands. He laughed meancely at his unarmed opponent. He has been defeated and soon he'll meet his god with one final strike. "Now, since you're about to die, do you have any last words?" He grimanced wildly.
"I got two words: dodge this."
The general turned to see who dared to challenge him. It was Travis the woodland ranger with a longbow drawn back. Valmar didn't have much time as the arrow flew towards his head. He went to block the projectile with his sword, but he miscalculated and the arrow punctured his hand. The shot forced the Roman to drop his sword, leaving him off guard.
The ranger then drew his sword and charged at the general. Ducking low and swinging hard, he hit Valmar in his leg and made him hit the ground hard on this back. The ranger then turn towards the Captain and pulled him off his feet. "Comeon, Banez, you got to get out of here. They're swarming everywhere comeon!" He screamed as he tugged on Banez's arm to run.
Tartus witnessed what the woodsman did to their leader. Figuring he had enough with this cocky bastard, the silent killer snapped his neck, putting the man in rest. He threw the corpse to the side and made his eye on killing the two escaping fiends.

As darkness pulled on his vision, Trevor saw a neutral-colored form charge against the black general's, and pull up the white captain. He wondered how many of Banez' commanders had escaped the carnage, and then the realization dawned on him with tearful eyes that he wouldn't be one of them. 'Sorry Captain... I thought I was better than that...'
Then it all went black.
(The order is still Blue-Myself-Patrick after this. I just wanted to close for Trevor.)

Zephyr turned away when Trevor had been killed. She knew she wouldn't be a lot of use in going at someone with a bow. Instead, she skirted around the humans toward Valmar, keeping her eyes on Banez and Travis. She made sure that she could defend the fallen general, seeing as he was unarmed now. She didn't move her gaze from the humans, but she didn't move toward them either. Tartus could take care of them. "Are you alright enough to get up?" she asked Valmar.

Banez then realized two things: one, that he wasn’t going to live to see Lysand or Lorin or Angel Haven again, and two, that Valmar underestimated his opponents when he seemed to have the upper hand. Though his back injury was cripplingly painful, all the fight wasn’t out of Banez yet, but even if he HAD bested the general, two of his soldiers were standing close by to assist. Then the arrow pierced through Valmar’s hand, and Banez blinked at it. That wasn’t one of his troops’ arrows….
The captain wasn’t sure if he could have been happier to see Travis. Thank God the ranger had the element of surprise on his side, because Valmar went down, after which Banez was quickly being pulled onto his feet again. He stumbled at first, the injury at his back making it feel like he was being torn in two at the waist, and no doubt he was starting to lose a lot of blood from it. Another shot of adrenaline went through his system, and he grabbed his arming sword and started running with Travis.

The ranger kept running with Banez, making sure nobody was following them and or planning to attack. "Gzzz, you are one crazy son of a bitch," Travis mouthed off, "Fighting the vampires at the home lair, what the hell were you thinking?" The ranger moved his sword to block a slice a vampire, then proceeded to slice his head. By looking how armed and organized Valmar's troops are, it seems they are screwed.
With the help of Zeph, the General got up. With an arrow in his hand and a dent in his leg armor, he wondered who that man was that snuck up behind him. "Who the hell was that?" he snared out in the open while pulling the arrow out of his hand.

Zephyr looked after Banez and Travis. She'd recognized the ranger from the one day she'd followed Ashemir into the tavern. He was that nosy son of a bitch... She huffed and looked up at Valmar's towering form as she answered. "I don't remember if I caught his name but he was with Ashemir and a werewolf the other day," she said, thinking for a moment. "Tr... Travis? I think that was his name. I can't remember... But he was with Ashemir." The memory of the blonde vampire pissed her off and she growled as she stared after the two men.

"I didn't attack..." Banez told Travis as they ran, jabbing his sword into the throat of a vampire that was running to meet them. He made sure that his voice carried, but it was quieter from taking the criticism. "The wereanimals didn't come.. and they laid siege on us and came at us from either side."

"Shit," Travis replied, cutting off another vampire's head off, "I wish I could of came sooner. I just knew they were going to pull off a trap." The ranger made a stop as he tried to find a opening. He found a gap among the fighting into a dense layer of woods. "Comeon, through there," he stated as he ran into the shrubs.
"Travis, you say," replied Valmar, "And Ashemir was conversing with a werewolf." Why was that blonde talking to a werewolf? First he, he easedrops on his conversation, and now he was casually talking with the enemy. He was clearly a traitor and a spy.
"I'm going to have to deal with that beautiful blonde later. Until then, I have this Travis fellow to deal with and that pathetic captain. Zeph, Tartus, hunt down those two and bring them back to me dead or alive. Well, give me the Captain alive, I don't care what you do to the ranger." Tartus bowed down to his general before running into the waning battlefield.

Zephyr nodded, taking off after Tartus. She was feeling a little less sluggish now that she'd had a chance to heal a little. And it was easy to get a meal here, what with all the falling humans. She killed one by lunging onto him and attacking, tearing his throat out and feeding. And with all that new strength, she was able to run better again. Sword back in its sheath on her back, she dove through the fighting and pushed herself to find any sign of the two the general wanted. Well, the one he wanted. The other needed to die.

How? Banez held off on those sorts of questions, though, as they rushed into the woods, where some of his soldiers had escaped to as well.
"Captain!" It was Cruz, who still had five other archers with him.
"Hold off our pursuers as long as you can, but get out of here!" Banez said to the blonde archer. "The rest of you, come with us!" Although, 'the rest of you' was only a ragged force of around a score of men, including Simon.
Cruz nodded and gestured his men to a large hollow log. They hid behind it, drawing their bows and waiting for the commander's signal as his green eyes peered over it. When a few nameless vampires broke through the trees, he made a sharp gesture with his hand, and the archers popped up to unload arrows into their heads. They laid in wait for a little longer, but when it seemed that their trail had cooled, they quickly picked up and retreated through the trees after their captain and mysterious benefactor.

With the battle drawing to a close, Valmar took account at the success he has accomplished. Not only did he drive back the enemy from their homeland, but he did it with everything falling in his favor. It seems he was able to drive the werecreatures into war with each other. They were able to build up a grand army without the notice of the royal guard. His men have been battle-testen. More furthermore, it seems they have an actual chance at taking the crown.
However, there were a few disappointments. For one, this wasn't the true force of the royal guard, thus he's still unsure how his troops will do in an actual grand battle. He also failed to kill the Captain, due to that dispictible ranger. It just means he'll get to fight him again. But if he does come across that man named Travis, he will personal destory him and everyone related to him.
But other then that, this was a grand day for the general. He knew this will be a rally cry for other vampires to join the cause, and he knew Seriah will be quite pleased with the results.
With the final human killed, Valmar gathered his troops around him. Standing on elevated ground, he made sure everyone could hear and see him.
"My men, today should be remembered as a glorious day for our race. Not only did we repel of the human oppressors, but we also gave a signal to the world that we have had it!"
A grand applause ranged out from the soldiers.
"For too long, we are forced to hide in the shadows. For too long, we are hunted down by those filthy cats and dogs. But now, we shall return the favor."
Another round of cheers sounded off.
"Sadly, some of our comrades won't see the day." The general bowed his head for his fallen soldiers. "But, let us stride forward so their sacrifice won't be wasted. So lets march into Tiaelda, lets march into Riyer, lets march into Issilt, and Feryn and Naulas. Then we're going to march into Cados and take over the captial...Uruah!"
The soldiers applauded wildly for their general. Their excitement was high; they could feel their prize at the end of their fingers. Yet, it was merely the beginning.
