------------
The mountains at night were most often deserted. There seemed to be a malevolent air that kept the townspeople away. There were the rumors of course; rumors that vampires infested these mountain peaks. That was why the figure was standing there all alone.
It might be surprising to some to discover that the lone armored figure walking up the mountain path was a woman. Her armor definitely left everything and more up to the imagination, and her helmet covered most of the feminine features of her face. Only her green eyes and mouth were visible beneath her helm. She didn't like leaving any flesh exposed- it was vampires she was hunting after all.
Zoshi walked forward, eyes narrowing. If the rumors were true, she hoped to run into some tonight. She needed to rid the world of this scourge. She shifted her sword and shield, focusing on listening for any small sound that would reveal the presence of another.

Drag...
Drag...
Drag...
Hauling the coffin and chain over her small shoulder, the werecat made her way up the mountain path. Sure, people said there were vampires here, and Tiaelde was the town that seemed to believe it, but Lumi herself wasn't sure if she took stock to the rumors. And besides, it was late, and the redhead just wanted a place to sleep that wasn't completely bare in the woods.
And the coffin was kind of occupied right now.
She shivered, wishing that she had thought to get a cloak or something. Ribbons and casual clothes weren't exactly the best warder of cold. Up ahead, the moonlight reflected off the armor of a figure up ahead. She tensed in mid-step, but after a quick sniff, she identified the figure as a human. Whew, that was good. She wouldn't want to have to fight up on the path, or try to coax the coffin monster back to his resting place.

Armor plates clinked together as she turned, eyes narrowing. "Who goes there?" Her voice was clear, her inflection a bit clipped. She kept her blade in plain sight as she stared at the approaching figure dragging her burden behind her. Was it a vampire, taking their own coffin up to their lair? Her eyes narrowed as she shifted her shield on her arm slightly.

Lumi approached the figure, female by the sound of it. "Hi," she greeted, raising her hand in a wave as she stopped her approach. The armored woman sounded on edge... Oh, right. The werecat glanced at her coffin, then to the woman. "This isn't mine." Well, it was her, but someone else was in it. Figuring that that was a stupid thing to say in the first place, she instead hooked a finger into her mouth and pulled back to show her teeth, "'ee? 'O phan'sh," she said, indicating the lack of fangs.

Zoshi's blade lowered. Slightly. She frowned, eyes focusing on the coffin. "Alright, so you're not a vampire. But why, man I ask, are you dragging around a coffin?" That certainly merited... something. If not suspicion, then certainly consideration. It wasn't a normal thing to do, at any rate.

Lumi dropped her hand from her mouth now that it looked like the armored woman wasn't going to attack her face. Then came the coffin question. She glanced back at the thing. "Oh, that, well... I sleep in it." She USED to, anyway, before it became occupied. She looked back at the woman, "And what about you? You're up here, all by yourself. What are you trying to do?"

"And you decided to drag it up a mountain to sleep in it?" Zoshi asked, raising an eyebrow. After a moment, she replied to the question. "I'm here looking for vampires to destroy. Her eyes burned for a moment. "Abominations! They need to all die! And I'm going to help make that happen."

"Well I'm not going to sleep in it out in the open where bears or something could paw at it," the redhead said. The armored woman just seemed suspicious in general, though, and the way she talked about vampires caused her to shift her weight slightly. "Well, I'm all for that," she said. "But going by yourself is just kinda' crazy. I mean, vampires are pretty strong. I'm Lumi, by the way. What's your name?"

"Zoshi," she replied. "And I have no fear of vampires. It'll take more than a vampire to get through this armor!" She tapped a gauntleted hand on her breastplate. "Besides... I would not wish to endanger anyone else's life." You know... It still seemed crazy to drag around a box to sleep in, but she supposed she'd drop it for now.
