Rules: For certain people (You know who you are) Take turns~ Embrace the rock n' roll
Setting: On the outskirts of the forest. The intruding vampire's horse and cart is parked off a road a small ways back, out of anyone's way.

She was traveling as a human now, having gotten through most of the forest without issue. Yeszlin's blue-green eyes stared ahead as she searched for the road in her path. She still had a ways to go, she knew, but the outskirts were thinning and she was beginning to lose the comfort of the close growing trees. She hitched the satchel on her shoulder up higher, the thump of books inside sounding from inside. Her long ultra blonde hair fell in waves down her back and over her unoccupied shoulder. She wore her typical human outfit, the loose trousers, the boots, the baggy shirt that was thin enough to show the black tattoo across her one arm and shoulder and back. She seemed comfortable enough, a slight breeze blowing at her back, washing the scents of the forest over her. Nothing, to her, seemed amiss and she seemed content. Well, as content as she could be. She was heading to the little road that she could get to Cados on. Back to the Castle, back to work. She sighed and shook her head, causing another cascade of wavy blonde hair to fall over her shoulder. Always working.

Silver chain was draped over the young man's shoulders, creating soft metallic sounds as the coils bumped each other in rhythm to his steps. They'd just left the borrowed horse and cart a short ways back, and Seriah had to hope no one found it a small ways off the road. All in all, he did hope he could return the things to his neighbor. The last thing he needed to explain was why a wolf had taken a chunk out of the poor man's horse.
He'd convinced Ashemir, grudgingly, to share some of his perfume, and so between the two of them, there was little scent beyond 'damp wilderness', mingling with the natural scent of the forest. With any luck they could get in and out quite cleanly.

Sleeping in a bed felt SO good.
But Ashemir would never admit that to Seriah.
Ever.
And after finding that his shirt and slacks were still on the morning after, the blonde had started the day in a rather pleased mood, even though he had to take the time to swap his brass chains for silver. Of course, the expression he wore was his usual blank one, so Seriah wouldn't know how good he felt on the inside, like a cloud shifted slightly enough to let in a ray that refracted into a slender rainbow shard.
Ugh. That was terrible. He was never going to write that down.
But then again, he really did hate silver. He felt that it clashed with him, and it just looked stupid with the black cloak. Brass looked better.... And the bag at his side contained another set of silver chains. Ugh, stupid wereanimals having stupid-colored weaknesses...

Something felt off. Yeszlin's pace slowed as she looked around and listened. She felt the silence of the forest, the unease that the animals of her home were experiencing. Something was wrong. Something didn't belong here. She halted and looked around, her blue-green eyes scanning every bit of the forest around her. A frown had found its way onto her face and she let the satchel slip down her shoulder. She didn't know whether or not she should continue or turn back and tell Harrier something was in the forest trespassing. In the end, she decided to continue, her ears strained to catch any sounds and her eyes peeled for anything out of place. And she began to feel the unease of the creatures around her in her own chest, like she was walking toward something very, very bad.

As he walked, Seriah hooked the end of the chain through one of it's chinks, leaving a head sized loop at its end. What luck, they hadn't had to travel far, before his gaze picked up on the pale form and gold locks of a woman ahead. Figuring the odds of sneaking up on a werewolf in her own forest were pretty much one to a million, the vampire instead lifted a hand to wave, loudly announcing their presence in a friendly tone, "Hello there."

Ashemir glanced at Seriah as the other vampire made a loop in his chain. Hopefully that would do the trick. And hopefully the situation wouldn't turn bad, although he was still fairly confident in his forest-running abilities if it came to that. He perked when he spied another head of blonde hair, as a woman was walking through the forest. With luck, her pack wouldn't be close behind. Raising his hand to mimic Seriah, the blonde vampire waved silently to her.

She was startled. Yeszlin stopped dead in her tracks, looking at the two men approaching through the trees. Her frown deepened and she clutched the strap of her pack with both hands, her eyes growing wide. She sniffed the air but couldn't pick up anything but forest, which unnerved her even more about these two. She hardened her face and narrowed her blue-green gaze. "Who are you and why are you in Naulas?" she replied, her voice sharp and even. "We haven't been expecting any visitors and I can't tell what you are. State your business."

Seriah's brows rose, as if he was surprised to hear she couldn't tell what they were. Oh course they were human! What else could they be? Surely no vampire would be suicidal enough to stroll into Naulas. "We were on our way to the beach. Naulas takes up a lot of the shore." He shook his head slightly, "But our cart broke down, we were just hoping we could find someone to help."

If she was this protective of the woodlands, no doubt she was a werewolf now. And it didn't seem that the pack was nearby. Ashemir shifted uncomfortably at the woman's tone, and he suddenly realized just how insane this plan was. Dear Lord, they were just going to GRAB her with silver chains and run? He glanced to Seriah again when he began telling the woman what they were up to. Going to the beach, of course!

Yeszlin's eyes narrowed even more, if that were possible. She looked as if she didn't know what to do. She knew her pack wasn't here and that she was alone. But she couldn't just turn around, she had business in Cados she needed to get to immediately. She heaved a sigh and glanced back over her shoulder. Why were they going to the beach this time of year? And without any warning? Suspicion began to flood in her again and she faced them and shook her head. "Go back," she said, her voice rough and commanding. "Go back now and walk down the road. Find someone closer to the road. Stay out of the forest and go back now." She was prepared to scare these two off if she needed to, though she felt as though that was going to be easier said than done. Her satchel was about to slip from her shoulder incase she needed to lunge or retreat quickly.

"But there's not going to be anyone on the road. You said yourself you're not expecting anyone." Looking increasingly distressed, as any tourist in trouble might, he gestured back toward where they'd come from, "We'd have to back track miles on foot to get a hold of anyone. Why can't you help us?"

Ashemir didn't entirely need to pretend to look distressed, just holding a neutral expression which held undertones of anxiety and panic. The werewolf sounded rather adamant, and he supposed that she didn't have the authority to allow them through the forest if that was the policy of the alpha. Ashemir glanced at Seriah, then the the woman quickly. Oh whatever Lord there was, let this be advantageous. His eyes rolled up, and he felt time slow as he leaned back in the air, until he suddenly fell on his back with a solid 'thwump', eyes closed.

Well now that was unexpected. The blond man dropped like a rock, fainting. Yeszlin blinked a few times, her frustration forgotten. Now she hadn't meant to scare either of them unconscious. That had not been her intent at all. She looked at the other man, then at the one on the ground. Slowly, warily, she stepped closer, kneeling down to Ashemir and looking at his face. "I will help you find some help if you leave the forest," she said, quietly, looking up at Seriah. "Does your friend do this often?"

Seriah jumped, legitimately, when Ashemir suddenly hit the ground. Regaining his cool quite quickly, he answered the werewolf, "No, but there's a first time for everything." As Yeszlin bowed her head, Seriah swiftly removed the chain from his shoulders. In nearly the same movement he tossed the looped end over the woman's head, and gave the chain a harsh yank to pull her off balance, and rid the chain of slack around her throat.
