Thrunalhin: (thru nall heen) The large kingdom in which this entire story takes place.
Cados: (kay dohs) Thrunalhin's largest Human city. Encircled by a large stone wall, complete with battlements, a drawbridge and moat, the busy town of Cados is endlessly alive with energy. Merchants pour in and out to set up shop on market day in the wide cobbled streets, men frequent the many taverns at night, and the castle stands stoically in the background, watching over it all.
Issilt: (ee silt) On the edge of a large river, Issilt is a successful trade city. A town renowned for its beautiful white willow trees, it is mostly quiet and peaceful.
Riyer: (rye err) The medium-sized town is known for its proud, hardworking folk. Settled in the middle of an open plain, their main livestock are horses, and they supply the rest of the kingdom with their quarry.
Llias: (lie as) Llias is a quaint, peaceful village that is dominated by the ornate temple in its center, and is inhabited entirely by monks. Though there is never violence here, and the religious residents will provide refuge for any who seek it, the entire place has a strange, cult-like feel.
Tiaelde: (tee ald) Living in the shadow of a great mountain, the inhabitants of Tiaelde are quiet and reserved folk. Many are miners and cater to merchants and blacksmith, but they refuse to talk about their journeys into the mountain, and rarely- if ever- leave their homes at night. They seem quietly, stoically fearful of something.
Feryn: (fair in) This is the land of the Werecats, and it is guarded jealously. Entrance is through a waterfall cave that is patrolled by the Cheif's personal guard; entry grants one into a beautiful glade of sparse but thriving forest, and into the heart of the feline Weres' home. There are other ways of sneaking into the Werecat's territory, but trespassing is a dangerous thing to do.
Yina: (yee nah) Yina is a sacred place to both Werecats and Werewolves. Here, no murder or conflict is to ever be committed. It is a place of mutual spirituality, where one comes to meditate.
Naulas: (nawl aas) On the other side of Yina lies the Werewolves' territory, Naulas. Though entry is granted far more easily than that in Feryn, it is hard to move through Naulas without being spotted or monitored. Naulas is a very large, natural clearing in the center of a gorgeous forest. The ruins of an old castle stand as a monument in their center.
Sirad: (sir rad) The essential "last stop" town before reaching the Desert or traveling on to Kalest. It is a trading city, and sort of a rough town- many of the travelers are Sand People, who do not take kindly to outsiders.
Kalest: (kah lest) A large, fertile strip of land unusually close to the Desert, upon which a religious city has been constructed. Designed in the Gothic style, with towering cathedrals, grey stone, and stained glass, it is where the Pope resides, as well as many high-ranking religious officials, and a place of pilgrimage, much more so than Llias.
Sulik: (soo lick) The unofficial capital of the self-named "Sand People". Built much like a fortress, it stands alone in the center of the Tonryne Desert, its inhabitants believing themselves the masters of that harsh terrain and rarely listening to the king in Cados.
Tonryne Desert: (ton rin)
Irel Forest: (ih rell)
