"Only when I have you for fodder," Ashemir remarked. "Might as well keep things direct."
He smirked when Brenthor remembered that they weren't talking about humans. "What, stupidity? Yes, humans are quite dumb, aren't they? As someone so freshly turned, you have my condolences. Now I know to keep an eye on you, and an ear out for the seeds you might be spreading." But it was the answer to Ashemir's question at which the blonde laughed. "Keep it to myself? You're the one who's so interested in the amount of beds I've warmed! It's just a simple yes or no question; I want your opinion."

"And are vampires really so different than humans?" Brenthor remarked, rather doubtful. A person didn't just change completely because they weren't a person anymore, did they? Or perhaps they did and that was why they weren't allowed into heaven... He didn't know. "Keep an ear out if you would like to waste your time." He wasn't going to be that indiscreet about what he was doing after all. Of course now that he had Ashemir's attention perhaps he would leave a few maddening bits lying around...
"Fine. You want my opinion? Then no. Don't do it." Might as well advise him not to get too chummy with someone so powerful...

"Again, the rules are different, and vampires do well to be fast learners," Ashemir said again, getting rather tired of all the repeating. YES, vampires were different than humans. "What is time to the likes of an immortal?" he asked. It was either poke around Brenthor's activities, or sit in a room twiddling his thumbs until Seriah eventually stuck his head in. Either way, he was wasting time.
"Why not? Do you think his hips aren't powerful enough to deliver?" Ashemir asked innocently, mostly interested in making Brenthor squirm through the topic rather than obtaining a legitimate reason.

"Different rules don't necessarily mean the beings themselves are so different," Brenthor mused. When Ashemir pointed out that time was nothing for him, he managed not to frown. It sounded like being a vampire was boring. Especially if Ashemir was right and they didn't spend time scheming. What on earth did they do to keep themselves entertained?
Again, he could not stop his nose from wrinkling with disgust. "Have some pride, man! Giving yourself to someone because everyone thinks you are... Or using it to further your position... Where's the pride in any of that?"

Ashemir touched his fingers to his forehead. Auuuggghhh..... The blonde recovered just in time to see Brenthor's nose wrinkle. Heh.... "There's the pride of knowing that you're desirable. And even if I don't warm Seriah's bed, I seriously doubt that it's going to make you stop calling me such unsavory things." His arms dropped to his sides. "Let's entertain the idea that you're as good-looking as me... would you honestly say that you wouldn't use it to your advantage?" His memory returned to when he was cornered in his cavern, as he bartered with Valmar to lessen his punishment. "Safe to say, the way I look, and the way I've used it, is the reason I'm not dead yet."
