Harrier didn't say a word as he moved in, putting his arms around her. His chin rested lightly on her head as he rubbed her back comfortingly. He hadn't thought it was possible to hate the vampires more than he already did until this moment. For a moment, he too shook, although fro him it was out of rage. Rage that those monsters had been able to upset her this much.
Finally, at length, he spoke softly. "It's okay, Yeszlin. I'm here, nothing can harm you. From now on, I'm always going to be there to protect you, okay?"

Yeszlin took Harrier's comfort and even leaned into him. And she calmed down almost instantly. She stared off, eyes still blurred from tears, and continued to do so until he spoke to her. She looked up at him as he promised to always be there and nodded. "Thank you Harrier..." It was whispered and nearly inaudible. But it was enough that she leaned back into Harrier and buried her face in his chest for comfort. Just having him here was enough to keep her from crying anymore.

If Harrier didn't have the hearing of a wolf, he may have missed her words. He caught them however, and he smiled gently. It was not a side of him that people may have seen often, but he cared quite a bit about his pack members and was not always so gruff when it came to such things. A hand raised, running through her hair absently. "We should get back to the pack." He was quiet a moment before suggesting, "Would you like me to stay the night with you? Just so you're not alone..."

Again, Yeszlin nodded. "Yes, if it's not too much trouble," she said, looking up at him. She leaned up and kissed his cheek gently before pulling away and crossing her arms across her chest tightly. It was a gesture of thanks, of appreciation, and of other things that she decided she owed him in that moment. She looked toward the trees and sighed softly. "Who else is around right now?" she asked, quietly. "Baba and the twins?"

Harrier's lips moved into a soft smile at her gesture, and he turned his attention to answering her question. "Yes, they're always around. So is Kahjit, and many others." He began to walk back to their resting grounds, looking back at her to make sure that she was following. If she was, he would fall into step beside her. "They'll be glad to see you. We were all so worried. But now Ana's brought you back to us."

Yeszlin kept her arms crossed over her chest as she followed after him. She noticed he fell back beside her as if ensuring she knew he was there with her through all this. Baba, the twins, Kahjit, everyone had been worried. She wondered how many thought she was most likely dead... With a hard swallow, she looked at Harrier. "What happened after I was taken?" she asked, quietly. "Who did you think took me? What was the pack's action afterwards?"

This was the part Harrier wanted to avoid talking to her about, in fear that it would worry her too much, but he answered. "Surrounding the spot where your bag was left was the scent of lavender. So naturally we assumed that it was the werecats that took you." He was a quiet a moment before he continued. "We rushed to Feryn to demand you back and while we were there we learned that... That Yina had been defiled."

Yeszlin halted at the news of Yina's defiling. She looked at Harrier with wide eyes. "Yina... Yina has been defiled?" she whispered, looking startled and shocked. She stood there as if confused before it sank in. Yina had been desecrated, defiled, ruined... What were the Werecreatures supposed to do? She knew, instantly, it had to have been the vampires because the Werecats had not had part in her capture. Something was definitely wrong. "It doesn't make sense," she muttered, looking down slightly and staring as she thought. "The scent of lavender and Yina being ruined... Vampires took me, Harrier, it was two vampires that I came across in the forest on my way to Cados. You don't think they had any part of Yina do you? Like they're trying to keep us Weres busy?" She looked up at her leader with serious, fearful eyes. What was going on?

He took in her expression, taking a breath as he thought upon it. The destruction of Yina... It had even hit the heartless werecats hard. "If the vampires took you, then I have the feeling that the vampires were the cause of Yina. And to what end, I think I know. Their distraction kept us from coming to the human's aid in the mountains. I heard that they were nearly slaughtered there. I think that they mean to destroy the humans. We have to stop this. We have to organize ourselves and hunt these creatures down. The only good thing in this is that since the vampires seemed to have organized themselves, we can destroy them all in one swoop."

Yeszlin nodded slowly. If Harrier sent a messenger to the Werecats and told them of this new idea, maybe they could group and move out to help the humans. If it wasn't too late, that was... Yeszlin growled, darkly, looking back toward the human territories. "I hope the humans will be okay until we figure out what we need to do," she said, sounding irritated. "I would have been in Cados helping them if those damn leeches hadn't caught me offguard and knocked me out." She sighed, shaking her head and dropping her arms. "Harrier, I don't know what we need to do. I'm the Ambassador of our kind. I should have been more careful. Now the humans may be killed off and I could have been there to help. I should have been there... This is so damn tiring."

"If you had been there, and the humans actually have been attacked, then you may have been captured still by the vampires. Or even worse, killed. We still wouldn't have heard word one way or another, and we'd be in an even worse situation because of it." Harrier placed a hand on her shoulder lightly. "There's no use in regretting the past. Instead we must look to the future. Rest. You need rest and time to clear your head. I will confer with Baba. He is, after all, my advisor."

Yeszlin looked at Harrier again, the physical and emotional wear showing on her face and in her eyes. He was right; she needed to rest and get her mind straight. But, then, she didn't want to go off alone to her little hiding place where she kept her books and sit there without someone to talk to. "If you don't mind, I would rather stay with you," she said, nodding slightly. "I can help you explain what happened and what conclusions we've found to Baba... And if you rather, I can go and rest by myself..."

Harrier hesitated, thinking this over. "Rest," he said quietly. "We'll rest together. I still need to get a few things straight in my own head before talking to Baba. I'll sleep on it and talk to him tomorrow, just so I know where I stand. There's much to consider." Especially considering he wasn't the greatest at following Baba's advice in the first place. He'd much rather see if he could come up with the solution on his own before going to him. "So we'll go to him in the morning. By then we should be in a proper frame of mind."

Yeszlin nodded again, feeling relief at the thought of not being alone. But she did want to see everyone... She wondered why none of her other packmates had come to see what the commotion was about. "Can we go see someone?" she asked, tilting her head slightly. "The twins or Mishaw or someone? I want to see everyone again..." She wanted to rest like he'd instructed but there was an inner want of being surrounded by those she knew, those she had known all her life. She felt rather timid about it, embarassed actually, like she was a puppy that was asking too much.

Harrier nodded. "We can see anyone that you would like," he answered with a smile. "I don't mind." After all, it was her that should rest, not him... Who was around anyway? "We'll just look around to see who's there."
