Mishaw was pawing through her supplies, ticking them all off in her head. Mugswort, wolfsbane, night shade, daisies, dandilions... Everything was still there, though a few of her herbs were running a bit low. It had been a hard time for their pack recently. She made up her mind to go out collecting that evening. Of course she would have to find someone to go with her... even if it was just to keep her company. She giggled softly and shook her head, as if forcing herself to focus once more. Putting the herbs and rememdies back in her little pack, she set it upon her shoulder and headed out of her tent. Looking for a companion or two for this evening.
Her short hair, as always, was brushed off to the side and kept out of her eyes, it was too short to pull back, but she was able to keep it from disrupting her view anyways, normally by just cutting it shorter. Unconciously, her hand brushed back her hair as she though about it, ruffling it slightly. Her grey eyes looked over the members of her pack, wondering if any of them needed her assistance before she left for the evening.

"Hey, Mish!" Emerging less-than-gracefully from the trees into the camp, Tuari waved his good hand at the shaman. "Wait up a sec."
It looked like he had just caught her on her way out- good thing, too. If there was one thing Tuari lacked, it was patience. Jogging over, a bit winded from his sprint back from the scene of the crime (much harder as a Human), Tuari grinned tiredly at the blonde.
He pointed at his bandaged shoulder. "I need you to look at this, if you can. I need to be cleared to go to Feryn with Harrier."

Mishaw smiled as she heard Tuari's voice. When she saw his bandaged shoulder she sighed. Then shook her head. "Do you ever learn Tuari?" She says with a small laugh. She touched his shoulder gingerly. Then frowned. "What were you hunting? A grizzly?" She looks at him with a touch of concern, then begins to unwrap the bandages. "And Feryn? Why would Harrier be heading to Feryn? What have our cousins done to bring him there..."
She looks at his injury, with a frown. Waiting for his explanation. She was glad that he had something to talk about, because dealing with this wound would take alot of distractions to keep him from crying out. Mishaw thought about how to deal with this wound, it was gorey, and obviously not well taken care of. "We might have to go back to my tent, I will be able to check it more thoroughly there, and I will have more of the supplies that it will take."

With a pang of guilt, Tuari realized he most likely shouldn't have gone blabbing about the problem.
"Er, yeah, there were bears around a few days ago," he said awkwardly, heading back to the tent. "But about Feryn..." I guess she has to know, she's supposed to decide if I'm well enough to go, anyway.
"Alright, well, keep this to yourself, I'm not sure everyone's supposed to know just yet," he said quietly, ducking into the healer's tent, "but Yeszlin's missing, and there's a bunch of her blood out in one of the clearings...we're going to Feryn to find out what happened to her. The whole area reeks of cat."

Mishaw listened to Tuari carefully as they headed back to her tent. When he finally explained what had happened to Yeszlin, her mouth dropped slightly. "The cats... took her?" She closed her mouth and shook her head. Yeszlin knew how to take care of herself... Unless she was ambushed suddenly, it didn't seem likely that she would have let herself be captured. "Don't worry Tuari, I shant tell a soul. Though I think it might have been prudent for me to know that you were all heading out, I am the shaman after all..." She looks at him with a teasing smile, then points to the makeshift sick bed at the opposite side of her tent. "You can choose to lie down there and let me deal with your shoulder, or you can sit down on the floor, choose what will be most comfortable. You may be here awhile." She chuckles softly and turns to look over the various plants that were hung out to dry.

Casting a wary look at the various dried herbs hanging around the tent, Tuari chose to sit on the floor, leaning back against the bed. "We think they did, anyway...and I won't be here too long, right?" Looking suddenly like a young child, he turned his brown eyes up to her worriedly. "Because I really, really, really want to go...."
Looking at his wound, he gave it a soft poke and winced. Stupid bear, he inwardly seethed.

Mishaw wanted to laugh when Tuari whined like a child. She turned to look at him with a gaze that told him to knock it off. "If you wish to act like a pup, I can always give you the same treatment as a pup..." She said warningly. Then plucked some of the Balsam Fir bark from the rope. Walking back over to Tuari she put the bark in her mortar bowl and began to crush the oil from it.
"This will help to ease the pain, but in all honesty, you just need to keep the wound clean and dont overuse the muscles around it." She take a vial from the table next to the bed and drains off the oil into it. She ignored his whine about wanting to go, she was a bit hesitant to send him off in such a condition. She took one of her bandages from the bed and put a few drops of the oil on it. Then set it aside to let the oil sink in. "We are going to have to clean the wound, it may hurt a bit." She says dismissively, as if it were no problem.

"I'm not acting like a pup," Tuari said indignantly. "And yeah, sure, whatever, I'm good with pain."
This last bit was a lie- as far as men went, Tuari could grit his teeth and deal with it, but he could just as easily curse fluently when he stubbed his toe on a rock.
There was a second of silence in which the man mutely pondered. "You think it's a good idea, all of us leaving to go check out Feryn?" he suddenly asked, thinking aloud. "I mean, apparently the cats can get in even with all the guard around, maybe they're just trying to draw us out, leave the rest of the pack exposed? We've got pups, like the next generation, what if they just came in and wiped that all out?"

Mishaw applied the Four Thieves Vinegar to a cloth, then pressed it to the wound. She knew that it would sting, but he had said that he could handle the pain. She made sure to press the wound enough to draw out any infection that might be hiding. "I don't think that they would try that... And even if they did, you have seen what happens when our young is threatened. Any wolf mother is worth three fighters when backed in a corner with her pups. Even those of us who have yet to pup fight twice as fiercely when the younglings are endangered." She starts to wipe at the wound with the disinfectant cloth, wiping away the blood and yellow ooze that came from the wound. "We must do what it takes to protect our pack mates. All of them."

Still absorbed in mulling over his conspiracy theory, Tuari was caught off guard when Mishaw suddenly pressed the disinfectant to his wound. With an unintentional yelp the man reflexively seized the healer's wrist, before blushing at his weakness and releasing her.
"Yeah, true," he winced- a fairly new wound, the vinegar did not feel that pleasant being rubbed into his flesh. "And of course, I'm not saying we should leave Yeszlin alone, its just...it's weird, isn't it? Why would the Werecats attack now? And ugh," he made a face at his shoulder, which was leaking a putrid yellow substance, "that's nasty."

Paying no mind to his grabbing of her wrist, Mishaw continued to work and think. "You are right, it is really strange that they would attack now of all times..." She mulled this over as she finished cleaning the wound. It was deep, but it would heal in time. "As for this being nasty, tis your own fault for not cleaning the wound right away. Bears are notoriously filthy creatures. I would have thought you might be smart enough to know clean a wound made by them." She smiles at him playfully, and places the antiseptic cloth to his shoulder to help numb the pain. "Keep the bandages clean, and it should heal faster. Use the oil that I made for you a moment ago to keep the pain away, and if you are careful, you should be fine." She nods her head once, then moves to let him stand up.

Sticking his tongue out at her teasingly, Tuari only half listened to the instructions of how to keep his wound clean- he was anxious to know the verdict.
"Thanks a lot," he said, getting hastily to his feet, wincing slightly as the dressings rubbed against his wound. "So I can go, then?" He grinned widely.

Mishaw sighed and shook her head at Tuari, or more specifically his impatience. "Yes you may go, but only if you promise to come back." She leans forward to give him a small hug then moves aside so that he can step out of the tent. "Be careful, I dont want to have to stitch the lot of you up when you come home. And you better come home." She gives him an imperious smile then nods again. "Oh... and try not to run into any more bears for awhile... Especially if you plan on letting that wound heal."

Yes! Engulfing her in a second hug, so that she was lifted a good two inches off the ground, Tuari put the shaman back on the ground, grinning like a small child on Christmas.
"Don't worry about me, I'm tougher than I look," he said proudly, mockingly puffing out his chest. "And the bear caught me by surprise- otherwise there wouldn't have been a problem." Stepping around her, the man made for the flap of the tent, pausing at its entry.
"You'll vouch for me then, right? Baba's not going to believe that I actually got cleared," he smiled, looking forward to rubbing that in the elder's face.

Mishaw giggled when Tuari lifted her off the ground. When he stopped his exit from the tent, she looked at him expectantly. "Yes of course I will vouch for you. But if you dont do as I told you earlier and take care of the wound and make me look like a fool, I will make you regret it." She promises with a small smile. She waits for him to leave the tent, then follows him with the vial of oil in her hands. "Take this and make good use of it. If the wound starts to hurt to much you can drink the oil to cause a general numb feeling. But it tastes bitter so I don't suggest doing that. And if you were tougher than you looked why did you yelp when I was cleaning your wound?" She says teasingly. Then places the vial in Tuari's hand. If needed, she would speak to the advisor herself about this. But she thought Tuari was fine enough to go.
