The ranger could only give a smirk at Analisia's responce. They were travelers and they were friends. Anything more and well, that was left up to fate. Admittively, he has developed some attachment for the woman, but he knew she was toying with him but he didn't mind. If they did spend more time together and not just at the bar or fighting criminals, then maybe a stronger relationship would develop. But until then, they were friends. Though, he did speculate how things would be like if they were any closer.

Another disappointment. “You can tell me!” Markus insisted childishly, jogging ahead to catch up and motioning for Travis to follow and listen. “I mean, if you two were drinking and dancing, you oughta be more than friends!” He almost added an obstinate ‘That’s how it happens in books!’ but he decided that would only be a point against him. “Mister Huntman said that fate threw you together, so there has to be a reason, right?”

Analisia turned toward Markus when he spoke. She looked confused for a moment, but only a moment. "You must understand...."taking a deep breath Analisia looked him in the eyes. "Even if it were fate, it could not be. Not that way at least. I enjoy his company, and I consider him a friend and a brother at arms, but I do not think that it could ever be more than that, even if I wanted it to be. I am not like you nor him little one. Drinking and dancing is just apart of having fun, of meeting new people in taverns. It has little to do with that other bit..." She gives him a sad frown and turns away again. Not wanting to continue with this conversation, though she figured that Travis would have something to say at the very least.

Though, while the ranger understood her comment, he wondered why she couldn't be 'more than friends.' What was she hiding that would prevent an intimiate relationship? Travis wasn't sure if he should be too thrilled. In one sense, such a relationship could cause much strain between the two, since they traveled alot, and he lived a dangerous life. So, he was somewhat fine not being overly attached. But again, a part of him did imagine what would it be like if he did spend the rest of his life with her. At the end, all he could say is, "Somethings aren't meant to be," before catching up with Analisia.

Even Travis seemed, silently, to agree. Markus wasn’t a social expert, but he swore he saw a twinge of disappointment and curiosity as Travis ran up, even though he sided with Analasia. Markus would have pushed it, but he felt he’d barged in enough. He simply sighed and followed along. “All right. If you say so.”

Analisia felt a pang of guilt and hurt in her heart, she knew that she had kind of led Travis on earlier, but she hadn't meant anything by it. And she certainly hadnt thought that she would have seen him again. "I say so, even if I don't know for sure." She mumbled under her breath, walking with her head bowed and her face covered by her hair. Her thoughts echoed what Travis had said, somethings just werent meant to be. She turned to look at Markus, smiling softly. "Come now, there must be better things to talk of while traveling, do you know any songs?"

In the attempt to change the subject, Analisia asked for a song. Travis looked over to the boy and it seemed he was a bit shy. For one, he probably didn't know much songs, but two, he might of been ashame of his singing voice. While the ranger wasn't a singer, he thought he could save the boy from any embrassment. "I actually have a song," he stated, "it would go better with music, but I'll give it my best." "And now I know the only compass that I need, is the one that leads back to you. And I know the only compass that I need, oh is the one that leads back to you."The ranger could a see a young brunette, waiting for him at his home. Excitement filed his body... "And the burning blisters on my feet will calm, So hold me as I'm close to flaw. Away from the warmth of your arms I stay, off the radar and into harm's way."He was sprinting faster and faster, arms outward to meet this woman... "Now I know the only compass that I need, oh is the one that leads back to you." His body embrasses her soft body. She's excited to have her man back... "Yeah, coffee will raise the head again, cokes that lead us from the pain. Words just sit like empty scribbles, such empty caffeinated widows." Dark figures seperate the two...the ranger attempts to fight the figure but is futile... "Now I know the only compass that I need is the one that leads back to you. Now I know the only compass that I need, oh is the one that leads back"The woman calls out for her lover to rescue her, but he couldn't. All he could do was scream her name while they slaughered her him front of him... "to you.""Catherine," he whispered, hopefully low enough that nobody could hear. At the end, a tear dropped from his eye. Somehow, when singing that song, he remembered her. The song of a metaphor for many things for the woodsman, but it always brought him back to her. He shouldn't have sung the song. (Note: This is the song that I pretty much stole www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdY6YT4jG6Q)

He nearly thanked the man right then and there. Markus knew for a fact, from multiple sources, that he had an awful singing voice. Furthermore, he didn’t know a single song to sing. Travis’ willingness to sing was a great relief.
Well, it was. Up until the song delved into a melancholy mood. And Travis was...crying? Markus stepped away, already becoming flustered. “Uhm...That was...I mean...You...” He stopped; obviously he wasn’t going to get anything coherent from that. Clueless, he turned to Analasia, frantically hoping she would know what to say.

Analisia watched Travis carefully as he sung. She closed her eyes and just listened. When he stopped, she heard the name that he whispered, and her eyes popped back open. When she saw Markus getting flustered, she raised a hand to him. Letting him know that she had this covered.
Walking over to Travis, she took his hand in hers. "We all have things that are better left forgotten, but you did whomever it was proud by singing that." At that she took him into a quick embrace, holding him to her tightly. After a few moments, she let him go and smiled at him. Then lifted her hand to wipe away his tear. "I dont know the story, but I know of pain. Come now Travis, everything in life gets better with time."
She turns her gaze back over to Markus for a moment, sharing that soft smile with him. Only hoping that she had helped Travis with her few words.

Travis didn't like showing his emotional side and felt ashamed when the boy caught his crying. Yet, When Analisia came to comfort him, he felt better. While her embrace was quick, it felt like that she was there for him the whole time. Her touch reminded him of Catherine. It was strange to think but was she the one he's been looking for the whole time? Was the kid right to say that they were meant to be?
After the ranger soaked in her words, he could only reply, "Thank you, you are a good friend." He gave a smile then added, "So, Miss Analisia, can you sing? Afterall, I think Markus and I want to hear your lovely voice."

Mark felt he could be safe in assuming there was sufficient reason for Travis and Analasia to get together, no matter what they said. Her quick defusing of the situation was proof enough. Markus stopped to watch them a moment, mentally grinning. He had gone on a hunch before, but it felt much nicer to have definite reasoning behind him.
Travis recovered quickly and sent the song request right back. Mark eagerly nodded his agreement (and hoped that Analasia might have a less emotionally-crippling song).

Analisia watched Markus' face, there were thoughts going on behind his eyes, and it didn't take much for her to guess what track they were on. When they both pressed her for a song she blushed and took a few steps back. Her eyes grew bigger and she laughed nervously. Finally, taking a deep breath, she nodded her consent. Turning away from them, she took another deep breath, only one song in her head, and it wasn't exactly appropriate after everything. "I want you mine Cause when I see your eyes I'm wanting you to stay Why am I running away? Cause when you hold my hand I try to pretend I'm not feeling like I do Do you feel it too? When I close my eyes I see you Don't tell me this is wrong." She turns back to the others, her eyes closed as if she were blocking them out. Her hands clenched in fists at her sides, everything in her told her to stop singing before she looked like a love sick pup. She finally told herself mentally to shut up and she just belted out the song. "When I see you out I lie to myself I hang on what she says It's prefect in my head Wanna go too far Find out who you are I'm too close to turn around I think I fighured you out And I want so bad to kiss you Don't tell me that I'm wrong Coz everything everything makes me think of you And everything everything that I wanna do I know you can see now when you look at me I want you, so tell me now Do you? Do you? Want me too? Think of you And everything everything that I wanna do I know you can see now when you look at me I want you, so tell me now Do you? Do you? Want me too? Am I crazy? I feel lost in time You confuse me, have I lost my mind? Coz everything everything makes me think of you And everything everything that I wanna do I know you can see now when you look at me I want you, so tell me now Do you? Do you? Want me too? Think of you And everything everything that I wanna do I know you can see now when you look at me I want you, so tell me now Do you? Do you? Want me too? Do you? Do you? Want me too?" With the final notes, she dared to open her eyes again. Looking at the both of them and blushing even deeper. What a stupid thing for her to sing, but she felt that she had to... Ugh, would she never learn? Analisia berated herself mentally, while just standing there and looking between both males. ( Song that I stole, btw this is kinda what her voice sounds like as well.)

Travis listened to the woman sing. While it seemed Analisia forced herself to sing the song, she sung quite beautifully. It fact, it seemed to fit her quite right. Despite the fact she seemed quite embrassed at the end of the song, he thought she did quite well.
"You sing like an angel," complimented the ranger with an honest smile. "Quite a beautiful song for a beautiful woman."

Mark smiled. Definitely more cheerful than Travis’s song. Travis seemed impressed as well (although, it would have been more surprising if he hadn’t been). It was quite touching. Mark almost felt like a bit of a cupid-for-the-day, and he smiled to himself at the thought.

Analisia smiled at the both of them when they seemed to appreciate the song. Until Travis had to ruin everything with his corny line. She wanted to yell at him, and yet apart of her found it to be cute and endearing, in some strange way. She lifted one hand to scratch her head, messing up her hair a little bit. "Well... We should probably get moving a bit, the intention of the songs was to have something to travel to, not to distract us." She chuckles again, this more nervous than happy.
She started on her way again, holding out a hand for Markus. The smile soft on her face. At least she had finally gotten all of that off of her chest. In a way, she had let Travis know how she felt, but at the same time hadn't really done anything about it. It was strange, but she accepted it as it was. She could never be with him, and so she could never really tell him.
