Lysand nodded. He was irritated, but it wasn't as if he would let that show. "If you would follow me, your highness... I must warn you that, as I write so many letters, there are a lot to look through." He entered his chambers, holding the door open for the prince. "They're in my drawer." Hmph. The prince better not mess up his order!

Lorin swelled up a little in knowing that he held his ground, and he followed Lysand to the advisor's chambers, crossing into the room. Erm... which drawer? Lorin made his way toward the nearest one, hoping it was the right one before he opened it and tried to estimate how many letters were in there. How far back should he look if there was a lot?

"Yes, there they are." Every letter that the advisor had written within the last year was in that drawer, which added up to be quite a lot. Lysand closed the door behind them, leaning up against it with his arms crossed. The kid wasn't seriously going to read them all, was he? As if he could even understand most of the political intricacies he had been accomplishing with most of his letters. He just focused on Lorin, having nothing else to do at this point.

Oh God, that was a lot of letters. Well... he was just going to sit down and read them all! Lorin took all of the letters from the drawer and pushed the desk chair out to sit down. Alright, letter one... He glanced over to Lysand, standing against the door with his arms crossed. This was something the Lorin wanted to do, but he didn't want to completely halt Lysand's activities. ...Or did he?

"Your highness, I can assure you that this is all quite unnecessary." And annoying as hell. Lysand just continued to watch him. "Do you have probably cause as to... some sort of wrong doing I may have done? Do you disapprove of some of my methods?" Like he even knew any methods that would be half as effective as his...

Unnecessary, maybe, but he still wanted to do it. It's not like he'd be doing much other than reading books in his room, so this all was a change of pace. Lorin glanced up at his questions. Well... no... and also no. Thankfully the prince was not so tired that he couldn't make up lies. "You know how it looks like I'm struggling when I'm trying to talk to someone. I just want a point of reference. I don't disapprove of you methods, Lysand. I want to learn from them." His eyes flicked from the letters to Lysand again. "I'm sorry. Did I spring this up at a bad time?"

Was there ever a good time for demanding that someone hand over their entire collection of letters? Learn from them? And what, exactly, could the prince learn from reading his letters. Certainly nothing he could employ himself. "I see. I suppose that there would never exactly be an opportune time to read my letters." It wasn't as if he sat around doing nothing all day... He didn't give himself time off very often. He was either thinking about an issue, doing paperwork, or sleeping.

"I see..." It was a good point, though. Lorin took in a deep breath as he started thinking. It wasn't as though he'd be able to study the letters very well with Lysand watching him. Ack, he needed to make the advisor leave him alone, in his own chambers. "Lysand, I know you do a lot for Thrunalhin, and for me. I'm not ungrateful..." Just suspicious. "Take the rest of the afternoon to yourself."

Lysand's lips twitched once, just slightly, and it was impossible to know whether they wanted to frown or smile. He could clearly read the 'get out' behind that. Get out of his own chambers! Well then...! "I suppose I shall go for a walk then, if you have no further need of me." He swept himself down into a bow. "Your highness."

Lorin shifted slightly, not exactly sure how to feel without a definite expression from Lysand. He wasn't exactly what he could have done that would have made the situation better, so he'd just have to settle for Lysand... either not being amused or not being angry. "I'll speak to you later. Have a nice walk."
