Suddenly everything was rolling quickly, and surprise, surprise, Draven was one to object to Seriah's plan. However, Ashemir failed to say anything about what any of the other vampires had to say; he still didn't feel very persuaded to take one opinion or the other when it actually came to rebellion.
But when Draven seemed to twist his meaning when it came to turning more vampires, Ashemir frowned. "It was my understanding that you were talking about maintaining numbers so that our race isn't extinct, not creating a force to be seen as equals." When Draven threw a rather accusing glance at him, the blonde returned it with no amusement. By the end of their previous conversation, he had persuaded Draven's attendance in order for him to be informed and to obtain assistance in finding his brother. Anything else that Draven said was said on his own accord, with his own head at stake.

Valmar smiled when Seriah mentioned the slaughter of the royal line. The general had a nostalgic thrill go down his brain as it reminded him the days in Rome when generals would kill entire families just so they could be the emperor. For an artist with the appearance of fledging man, he was an extremist, something that lacked in most leaders, especially in this "mercenary". For someone who packed a lot of blades, he certainly didn't like to dull them out.
"Of course we need to eliminate the royal blood line," voiced Valmar, "it's the only way to ensure there's no resistance from the humans...though maybe we could spare some of the noblemen; if they comply, of course." The general then walked over to the objective vampire [Draven] and glance at him. "You seem to be a fine combative. You would surely be a great addition to our army and I promise you would be paid well. Why so objective?"

Stella was quite pleased with her little suggestion, actually, and so she rejoiced for a moment. After her moment, though, she swore the words "kill the royal bloodline" were spoken out in the crowd. That really got her attention. Yes, she was excited for a rebellion against the human race, but that wasn't necessarily on her checklist. Actually, it was very far from it.
The Royal Family had been nothing but generous to her family when she was still human, and she hadn't forgotten their kindness. In fact, she'd listened out for humans speaking of harming anyone in the Royal Bloodline ever since she began her trips to scope out Cados. Stella figured that one good turn deserved another, and she was repaying them with protection for their ancestors.
This had to be stopped before it developed into a definite plan. If she couldn't stop them...well...she definitely couldn't stand up to the whole race of vampires! There was no way! God forbid she join the humans in resistance. Something had to be done.
"Destroy the Royal Bloodline? Do you really believe that is necessary?"
That was a beginning. It couldn't be the end, though. A response as simple as that wouldn't change anyone's mind.
"Why don't we focus on...the officials instead. I'm sure that without their Head Advisor, their Guard Captain, and their Royal Healer, they would be nothing. From there we could just force them to surrender, or even negotiate some kind of deal. Destroying such majesty, though...it's like destroying a precious relic or an Old World Wonder! It shouldn't be done."

“Unfortunately, humans, werewolves, and werecat's are all interconnected. Not taking the castle means we have only the mountain, which is defensible, yes, but otherwise not particularly useful. We'd end up fighting all three. Or if we were lucky enough to face only the werecats, the werewolves might just sit and wait to remove the head of the winner. Or vice verse, and the humans would be an entirely unknown player, able to come in and out as they please.” He spread his hands, smiling kindly to Draven, “But if we take the castle, we have a position of power. We can come down on the werefolk after they've tired each other out. We can force them into submission, into making a treaty.”
“As for getting jobs and playing nice, that's lovely in theory, but it only works when they don't know you're a vampire. As soon as you flash your fangs, or get sniffed out, you're as good as dead.” Or deader, if you were feeling technical. “It would be a noble effort, but I'd rather have more power and less martyrs.” In fairness to Draven, he really did think it was lovely in theory.
His brows rose as he regarded Stella's unexpected opposition. “It is absolutely necessary. As Valmar has already said, the prince's survival would be a rallying point for all of the humans. Divine right to the throne is a powerful idea to overcome. With the prince dead, rebels would argue over who had the right to lead, and the beast would never get far from the ground without us having ample time to put it down.” The entire plan was worthless if they couldn't remove the royal blood line. It wasn't as if every half cousin and their pet dog had to be killed, but those in immediate line for the throne must be. While he continued to speak to Stella, his words very clearly were meant for the entire room, “I don't know why you would have sympathy for the people who let us starve and cower. The dogs and cats enforce our demise, but they are subject to the royal's rules. The royalty are the only people that could have saved us, and they are the ones that damn us. It's their responsibility more than anyone's for what we go through- every dead child, lover, friend. We kill out of necessity, and with conscience, they ask for racial cleansing. Who would spare them?”

He listened. He listened carefully. Everyone had opinions and he had to sort through them all to get to the point. Either way, Stella stood at his side when it came to sparing the Royals. He didn't want to see their blood shed. There had to be a way to get them to back down from damning the vampires, a way that both could coexist without so much death between them. He looked at Valmar, his nose twitching at the idea of joining the vampire army. It disgusted him. He would never follow the orders of one that would stand for killing those he attempted to leave unharmed. He turned away without a word to the General, turning his attention back to Seriah and Stella. There had to be some middle point in this entire arguement. His mind worked furiously, throwing ideas, tossing others aside. Finally, he came up with what he felt might be a good point. Or at least, he hoped. "I don't think destroying the bloodline completely is a good idea," he said stepping closer to the Warlord as he spoke. His words were meant for him more anyways. "The Weres are a bigger problem," he continued, his face emotionless as he swept the room with his gaze. "If we can get them to war with each other, we will have more chance to deal with the Royals and the humans, as they won't have the Weres for back up to fight against us. They are weak compared to us and we could easily overthrow them without having to kill those innocent of any crime against us, meaning the Prince. Get the Weres to fight between each other and we can devise a plan to remove the King from the throne, rather than killing a child, a mere boy, that has no idea what's coming for him. I believe we should storm Cados and the Castle after they have no allies, after the Weres are too busy with their petty battle."
At last, he had to breach the subject Valmar had brought up, directed at him. It was bothering him, his assumption that he stood completely on the humans' side. Just because he prefered to let them live, didn't mean he sided with them against their oppression of the Vampire race. Completely the opposite, though he felt it wrong to break the promise he'd made. The last thing he held onto of her. "I am objective for my own reasons," he answered, coolly, stepping away from Seriah and attention, back to the wall where he'd been before. "And I would rather be free to do my own work than a dog in your military. Freedom is the last thing I have."

Ashemir almost buried his face into his free hand when Stella and Draven found it unnecessary to destroy the royal bloodline, but he remained silent. Clearly, they didn't read enough fantasy stories where the villain left the nemesis' child or apprentice alive, only to be destroyed later by their hands. All the possibilities were there, strewn about pages and pages that spanned generations of storytellers and history.
He shifted his weight slightly, even though it was Draven that Valmar had approached. As blank a face that the blonde may put on, the general was an intimidating man. The least Draven could do was mask his disrespect behind better words.
Ashemir frowned at the last thing that Draven had to say, "We don't have freedom. We have nothing. The only reason you have this... illusion of freedom is because people don't think us vampires at first glance. Having to lie about who we are in society is not freedom; we just make the chains invisible as long as the falsehood lives. You may say it is your choice to lie, but everyone here will say that they make that same choice out of necessity. And if that is the case, it may as well not be a choice at all."

The General was disgusted at the mercenary's rejection. What kind of man for hire was he if didn't want to fight, especially the amount of wealth and glory he could achieve under his ranks? And is this 'freedom' he speaks of in a world that undermines the very species he from. His apathy is really troubling. Still, Valmar grinned inside to hear that Ashemir spoke against the mercenary, which gave him a rally point to continue his preach.
"As my good friend Ashemir said, you have no freedom," Valmar continued, "You may think you're free because people don't know who you are and thus you can continue helping old grandies cross the street. But if they knew who you really were, they would scold you; they would hunt you down and kill you. But, if you fight with us, you have the opportunity to be who you are. No more hiding, no more lying. And I would guaranteed that under my army, that you would be rewarded with more loot and glory than whatever you were doing than before. And if you don't have a preference towards killing humans, then you could be a spy or you could hunt specific were-people."

Stella thought for a moment, listening to all of the vampires' arguments. They were very true, and she agreed with almost all of their reasoning. Unfortunately, the one thing that she refused to do was one of their main concerns. No one would care for her reasoning, either. In fact, they'd probably disown her from the vampire race. To think, she had already been silently banned from the civilization of humanity, and now she might be at risk of being left by the vampires, also.
She wouldn't put up with that. For now, she would have to stand down. Maybe she could speak privately with Seriah afterward when he explained her role that he mentioned earlier. If he still didn't agree...well...she could always aid the Royal Family in her own time.
Stella decided not to speak this time, but rather to keep to herself until the topic was changed.

Seriah shook his head at Draven, suppressing a feeling of frustration. The prince's blood deserved to be slain as much as any werewolf for their crimes against the vampire race. Innocent, hah. “You're repeating what's already been planned, minus the prince's death, not suggesting anything new.” He lifted his hands, to be sure he wasn't interrupted by farther protests. “But if it is something you all feel strongly about, we will have to find a solution. For now let's say that if the prince surrender's during our take over, we will take him alive. If he does not concede, I must insist we handle him then and there. He is the sort of loose end that unravels an entire tapestry.” He took a breath, ready to table the prince issue for the sake of continuing discussion. "And as Valmar says, Draven, if you're squished about humans, you can help us with the werefolk." If everyone settled over this issue, he'd move on to just what they'd do about the werefolk, though he already had some ideas of his own.

Draven looked at Seriah with half-lidded eyes, considering his words. He supposed he could help with the werefolk, as long as that didn't interupt his usual work. If he couldn't make gold, he wouldn't have shelter. The idea wasn't the most pleasing. He could deal, he knew, but he rather liked knowing he had somewhere comfortable to lay. He cleared his throat and nodded, looking at Valmar. "I will speak with you after the meeting," he said, giving no more information as to why. He turned back to Seriah ready to continue with discussing the Weres. "How do you suggest with push them toward war?" he asked. "There are a few ways I can think of to get them fighting with each other. And they have proven a problem for me in the past and I am willing to deal with them immediately."

Ashemir glanced at Valmar. 'Good friends'? Uh... no. They were most definitely NOT good friends. They weren't even plain friends! Not that he would object aloud during the meeting. Well, Seriah's compromise seemed to make everyone shut up about what to do about the prince. Ashemir glanced back to Draven and Valmar, supposing that he'd just have to wait until Draven was done speaking with the general before the blonde could do his own digging. His gaze turned back to Seriah. Yes, how do you get the tense string to snap satisfyingly between werecats and werewolves?

Valmar was pleased that he was able to give some sense to this desenter. "I'm glad we could meet on some common ground."
Now as it seemed the discussion about the humans was over, the next plan on the schedule was about the werecreatures. The discussion over the werecreatures shouldn't be as devisive for they were the main reason for their downfall to begin with. Valmar already had his own ideas how to get the two rival species to fight each other, but was interested on the ideas others.
"So, how should we deal with the werecreature, my Lord?"

Finally, Seriah switched the subject to a war between the werewolves and werecats. Just another idea that Stella agreed with. Maybe they'll have forgotten her disapproval of the Prince's murder at their hands by the time the discussion was over. Anyways, this particular war was one that had been on her mind ever since she considered taking her vengeance on the Human race.
"Now this is what I've been waiting for," she said as a smirk appeared on her face. "A war between the werewolves and werecats will hopefully get them off our backs for a while. It should make them weaker, at least."
She thought for a moment, trying to conjure up any idea she might have developed over the years as far as the wereanimals.
"I think I might have an idea..." Stella wasn't too sure if Valmar necessarily wanted her to offer up an idea as far as the war, but...well, it was a discussion between all the vampires, so...it shouldn't matter. "It involves a little bloodshed on the wereanimals' side, and a lot of perfumes, but I think it's possible."

Seriah had intended to hear out the others ideas first, but he supposed sharing his thoughts would be a good way to get everyone started. All he was concerned about was the best plan for things, anyone's idea was welcomed. "To me it seems that the most obvious solution is to kill one and frame the other.. but such petty squables and deaths or not uncommon. I think stealing a werecat, perhaps, alive, and blaming a wolf will create a greater sense of urgency. The wolves are already chomping at the bit, this might be enough to get either side to make a move." And it would only take one side to do /one/ thing to start a full out war between the races. "It might be easier to simply kill a few of one race, or both, though." Granted he liked the idea of locking a werecreature up in his basement and harassing it for a while. They might even gain valuable information. He turned towards Stella, nodding, "Your idea? And anyone else that has one, as well, please."
