Aria wasn't offended that her leader chose not to meet her; it had been respectful to wait. In contrast, the Ambassador was faintly relieved- it meant that Chey did not have anything further to say for her, and that Aria was then free.
Alone, she set out in the direction of Feryn, shifting seamlessly into a Tigress and padding, nearly silently, toward the looming forest. It would feel wonderful to run- to release her sorrow through physical exertion- despite the long journey she and her leader had before her tomorrow. She would send a messenger to Chey's tent, tonight, asking to leave at dawn; should they linger much later, they would no doubt be assailed by the hoards of frightened, angry mourners, pointless conversations the Ambassador was eager to avoid.
