The warlord had fed on his way to the mountains, his face still visibly flush from the fresh blood compared to his usual pallor. It left him feeling comfortable and warm, or it had until he'd seen Tiaelde. His expression was a carefully held mask of a pleasant smile that spoke nothing of the actual thoughts in his head. He'd politely sent a young vampire to seek out Valmar, and inform the other of his arrival so that they could meet. Now it was just a matter of waiting.
Seriah sat, one leg crossed over his knee, waiting patiently. Or patient as far as anyone else could tell. He was nothing short of shocked to find Tiaelde over run with vampires, but he certainly looked forward to Valmar's explanation. That is, if Seriah could keep himself from strangling his general first.
He lifted a hand, twisting a lock of dark brown hair around a finger in a bored fashion. He'd intended to come to the mountains for a brief update, and a sharp discussion where Ashemir was concerned, but instead he'd found a can of worms.

Valmar glad to see the immediate take over of Tiaelde as he scrolled through the town's streets. Next to the general was Brutus. Despite his injury, the colonel was fine but still upset for being cheated out of his meal by a ranger. The general attempted to cheer up his second of command. "Aren't you glad? We finally get to control this speck of land. No more hiding in the caverns of that rock."
"I'm quite happy at our success," Brutus replied, "It would of been better if that ranger didn't interupt my meal."
"I feel the same way, my friend. However, I'm quite sure Tartus will take care of him," Valmar assured.
"I hope so," grumbled the Colonel.
Suddenly, a young vampire came running, bearing great news for the general. It seems that Seriah has come back, wanting to talk with him at the Mountain Goat. "Perfect," replied Valmar proudly, "It seems Seriah wishes to discuss about our succuss."
Brutus had a more pesimistic point of view, "I don't know, sir. Are you sure the Warlord would be too happy with taking over Tiaelde? Especially without his command. Defending the mountain was one thing, but it seems Seriah might think that you are trying to over-reach his command again."
"Don't worry, Colonel. As soon as I reason with him, he would understand that this was important to our cause."
With that, Valmar dismissed Brutus for the day and walked to the Mountain Goat. Obviously, the tavern has been evaculated, except for the few soldiers that were looting the celler. Sitting in one of the tables, his leader waited bored to death. The general immediatly bowed before his warlord. "Greeting Seriah, it's a pleasent to meet with you once more. Do you like want I did for you, sir?" Telling from the deadpan expression on his face, it seemed Brutus was right...

Seriah smiled, a particularly unfriendly expression, "It would seem congratulations are in order, general." He gestured to a seat at the table, clearly expecting Valmar to sit, rather than stand up himself to greet the other. "Congratulations, you've successfully conquered a strategically worthless town, revealed our organization, and alerted our enemy to their immediate danger, allowing them precious time to prepare. I. Am. So. Pleased." Any trace of the smile was gone by now, as he waited for the other's defense.

The general's smile went from one of excitement to one of disbelief. "Well, sir. The humans were poking around the mountain," explained Valmar, though still standing. "They had a force ready to exterminate our people unless we did something about it." The Roman didn't apperiate the Warlord's disappointment.

Seriah scoffed, "Really? Are you certain they were here to exterminate us? Because as far as I've heard no one has investigated the mountain, thus we should have been essentially unknown to them. Either something has gone terribly wrong, or the humans were looking for evidence of us. Evidence YOU GAVE THEM." He leaned back rather abruptly, lacing his fingers together to rest in his lap, to restrain himself. He let out a breath, "You're a competent man. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you had no choice but to engage the enemy." So much for stealth. So much for sneaking an army of vampires into the fucking castle. Now they truly had a war to fight. A war which they were under manned, and under prepared for. "Give me statistics. How did the battle go?"

Valmar knew why Seriah would be upset. But it was a matter a time before they would of been discovered. Besides, if the humans figured there wasn't anything fishing going on, they wouldn't have sent any soldiers to investigate. The general went ahead to discuss the result of the battle, "The battle went spatacularly to our advantage, sir. We were able to eliminate 86% percent of their forces while losing only 26 soldiers of our own. If we maintain that kill ratio, then the humans don't stand a much a chance. Then again, we only gave them a small taste of our power." He gave a smirk. "I would like to imform you that it seemed our plan worked against the werecritters. During the battle, we didn't encounter a single wolf or cat. It seems our furry friends won't interfer with us." He hoped these two successes would make up one failure. So long their army was efficent and brought terror against the humans, they could still succeed in their plan.

If things had gone Seriah's way, they would have been in Cados before Thrunalhin had any idea what they were up against. But he could only work with what he had, and clearly that wasn't in the books anymore. "Good. We'll have to move against Cados immediately, or the werefolk will realize whats going on. We want the castle taken before they can so much as sneeze in our direction." He frowned slightly. Now they just needed to move a large number of vampires to Thrunalhin's capital without anyone seeing the movement. The surviving soldiers would reach Cados before they could reach, and reorganize to launch an attack, but the less time they gave them to prepare the better. "How long to move our forces to Cados? I think we should have them travel off the roads as much as possible. If we can reach Cados silently, they at least won't know when to expect our attack."

Valmar agreed. They needed to strike fast, especially since they the human forces were still in shock by the attack. "I'm quite sure we could make it in four days, maybe 3 if we to rush it." But if they make it, they're still going to have to deal with a defended castle, warned or not. "If the castle seems unattackable, I do have several alternative plans that can help us."

"Some of the vampires in our midst were once nobility in the castle. I have partial plans of the castle from their accounts, though I'm sure there's been some changes over the decades. The plans include some of the secret passageways the royals use in an emergency. If they're still in tact, we can send a small group in that way, while the rest secure the city, and launch a more straight forward attack on the castle." He stood stretching for a moment. "We can discuss more detailed plans in Cados, unless there's anything you want to press now? Otherwise I'd like for you to assemble the forces outside of the city, and for you to meet me in the Dragon's Keep within 4 days." Ah right, he still had Draven and Ashemir..
"Draven was.. incapacitated in Issilt. If he recovers soon enough I'll send him to meet you, otherwise I'll likely bring him and Ashemir with me to Cados." Though if the mercenary didn't recover quickly enough, they'd have to leave him behind.

It seemed Seriah had everything planned out. Of course, why didn't he mention about the hidden tunnels this before hand? What happened to Draven? Valmar was happy that Seriah did have a working plan of action, but he was worried about the condition of Draven. "I will be able to move my troops in the recommended time, even bring along some siege machines. Though I do ask, what happened to Draven?"

He nodded, "Good. As for Draven, I suppose its best left saying he has some family issues that haven't been worked out yet. He was sleeping when I left- you can get more details from him when he's recovered." He tapped his nails lightly on the table top for a moment, before speaking again, "There is another matter wanted to discuss with you. By all means, I understand the importance of punishing your men if they get out of line. But let me make it very clear: do not fuck with Ashemir again. For all intensive purposes consider him mine. If you have a problem, you can address it to me. Understand?"

"Excuss me," replied the general with a brow. When did Ashemir become Seriah's pretty. How dare he tattle on him? "I made it clear to him that if he doesn't fuck with me, then I won't fuck with him. If you want to be all protective with him and put him under your lease, fine. But I tell you this; he's under your watchful eye. If he dares anger me and you do nothing about it, I will handle it myself."

"Temper your ego, Valmar." He snapped. "As I said, if you have a problem, you'll take it to me, and I will deal with him. And because I am in charge, you will accept however I decide to handle the situation." Seriah wasn't convinced eaves dropping counted as fucking with a person, but Valmar didn't tend to tolerate event he most minute slight. It made Seriah happy he wasn't the other man's underling.

The general merely glared at his warlord. It was quite frustrating that he was making a big deal on how he handled Ashemir. For the first time, he wasn't sure if he should trust Seriah, especially since he's been hanging out with that harlot, someone who might of spurred information down to a WEREWOLF. They were trying to get him. Still, Valmar kept his mask on, he didn't want to further anger his warlord for the meanwhile. "I'm sorry, sir. I shouldn't have handled the situation like that. It was a bit too rash, and when you see Ashemir, tell him he can return to his home. Afterall, you are the leader and I'm just your subject." The Roman took a sigh before adding, "Is there anything else you wish to discuss or are you done with me?"
