Yeah, so I was bored. xD
1) Open to any vampires
2) Posting order please
3) Boredom = random thread...
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Zephyr didn't have a very small cavern to call home. The walls were bare and the gray stone was rough, just like in every other typical cavern in the mountain. The floor had a large, ornate red rug covering it, which helped to keep the chill and dampness down. To one side of the large room was a nice sized bed, covered in red satin blankets, surrounded by a red curtain so that whoever sleeping couldn't be seen by someone that walked in. At its foot was a large black chest, more than likely stuffed with clothing and armor and other things the vampire wanted. Opposite the bed in the big cavern was a weapons stand, filled with various types of weapons, from spears and swords to whips and throwing knives. At the back of the room was a bookshelf, though it had few books and more than enough jars of things (more than likely things for healing faster or trophies from battles). The walls were embeded with three prong candle holders, each with all three candles lit, which gave the room enough light that one could easily see. The short, girlish looking woman was standing in the center of the room, panting, her hands wrapped around the hilt of a huge broadsword. Half of the blade was black steel, the other silver steel, and its tip was rested on the ground as she stood staring at some invisible opponent. One might notice that the rug beneath her feet had many tears if they actually looked down, results of her many hours of training. With a sudden movement, she lifted the sword as if it weighed nothing to her and lunged forward in a stab, slashing up and swinging around. With a clank, the metal hit the ground again, and she was then facing the door to her place, which was hung over by layers of red silk curtain, like a makeshift door. Her shoulders rising and falling quickly, she leaned back, releasing the hilt of her broadsword with one hand. She blinked her bright yellow eyes, as if expecting someone would join her, ears strained for any sound.

Vincencio pushed back the curtain, walking in without making a sound. He looked around as if he owned the sizeable cavern, eyes passing right over Zephyr. "Well... Tis homier than last we met." He said in his deep, soft voice. Looking down at his pupil, he smiles gently. "Did you not receive the not I sent? You seem to be expecting someone other than myself." His arms opened as if welcoming a child into a hug, fitting for the scene were anyone to look upon them.
"Come now child, do not keep me waiting. Tis not as though we have eternity." He chuckles and moves to swoop her into a tight embrace.

With the loud clank of metal on stone, Zephyr practically leapt into Vincencio's arms, dropping her sword as she did. She held onto the man as if he were a long lost friend that she hadn't seen in years, though he'd been here last month. And now she was smiling up at him, her short stature not so noticable with him standing beside her. Her sire had come to visit and now she was in the best of moods. "I took your advice from your last visit and got some color into the room," she said, looking behind her at the red sheets and the red rug and then at the red curtains over the door behind him. "But I didn't really go that far into color because I only like red. And purple." She talked as if she were a child praising itself for something good it had done after its guardian had suggested it. She lifted her yellow gaze to him again as she backed up to retrieve her broadsword from the floor. "Vincencio, what have you been doing? I wish you would stay here with me..."

Vincencio gave Zephyr a small smile as she backed away to pick up her fallen sword. He walked up to her to place a small kiss on her forehead, then walked over to the bed. Once more his eyes swept over the place and he nodded. He turns and sits down on the bed, motioning for Zephyr to sit beside him. "It looks wonderful my child. As for myself, there has been much to keep me from returning sooner. Many children are interested in the tales that I teach about our kind. And a few even believe them." He shakes his head. "Every generation turns more stubborn than the previous. But you know that I cannot stop my work with them, nor leave my leige." He gives her an apologetic smile "Perhaps one day I can join you here."

"But won't Seriah be okay without you?" Zephyr asked, placing her sword on the weapon's stand and walking over to stand in front of him. "And you could teach the children here, in Tiaelde. That way we would always be together. You said we would be together when you changed me..." She looked down, teary eyed, feeling horribly childish. But Vincencio had promised her an eternity with him after saving her life and he wasn't fulfilling that promise well. She knew she could go live with him, but then Valmar would be upset that she wasn't here. The general was her leader, though she had plans to overthrow him that even Vincencio didn't know of. She felt she would make a much better general than Valmar was. With a huff, she plopped down beside her sire and looked around her room, cat's-eye yellow eyes taking on a bored appearance.

Vincencio sighed, shaking his head. She always acted like this with him. Taking one of her hands in both of his, he held it softly. "Now now, dont be upset. Seriah doesn't need me, he will be ok on his own. But I am actually progressing with some of the younglings there. Do I not visit you every chance I get? I shall always be there for you my dear, of course I shall. But it was you who decided to stay here instead of being in the cities." He set down her hand and looked around the room again. Then turned his gaze once more to his young friend. "We thrive in different environments my dear, you must understand that by now."

"That doesn't mean I like it," Zephyr answered, looking down at Vincencio's hands. She lifted one of her small ones and took one of his again, looking up at his face. She gave him an uncharacteristicly sweet smile and laced her fingers through his, holding tight. Even if she didn't get to have him here with her, she knew he would always come to see her when he had a chance. She just missed him when he was away in Issilt. It got lonely with the only company being that of Valmar and his brutish ways. Bossy, bossy, bossy. She made a disgruntled face and looked across the room at her weaponry. "Why don't you fight anymore, Vincencio?" she asked, quietly.

Looking away from her as she asked that dreaded question, he shook his head. Vincencio turned his gazed down towards their intertwined hands, the corners of his lips twitching up slightly. "I got tired of it, little one. I am old, even though we do not age. I have seen wars fought, taken another's life in battle. It is not pleasant after so many years of seeing it. I grew weary of fighting, as shall you one day. If you live that long." Shaking his head again, Vincencio decided to change the topic. "What have you been up to as of late my dear?"

Zephyr noted that he had changed the subject and so she decided not to push her luck. She smiled up at him and blinked her bright eyes. "Just following Valmar's orders and training to keep myself ready," she answered lightly. "Oh, and I got to see Ashemir some nights ago AND play with a human man the same morning. It was a fun day. The man was so easy to play with! He went along with everything I said. I like pets, especially when I get to see them more than once." She giggled and stood up, releasing Vincencio's hand and turning to face him. She knew he wouldn't approve of what she'd been up to, messing around with a human man, but she didn't care. She was allowed to have fun.

Vincencio snorted when she mentioned finding a new pet. "Little one, why do you even bother with these little pets of yours? Human's are filthy, yes we need them, but we do not need to mate with them." He shook his head at her, then chuckled. "It would seem as if you have been busier than myself." Flicking her nose teasingly, Vincencio chuckled again. "Why you keep these men around I do not understand, but if you are lonely I shall not begrudge you your little ... pets." He nearly hissed the word. But said nothing of the true displeasure it brought him. He disliked her using humans in such a way, even if they derserved it for falling into her little traps.

Zephyr wrinkled her nose, lifting a slender hand to touch it after Vincencio flicked it. She knew he didn't like it but he didn't have to mess with her nose. She pouted a moment, then looked back to her cheery self, nodding her head. "It's better than listening to Valmar blabber on and on and on all the time," she said, looking slightly frustrated. "All he ever talks about is what he wants or what he needs me to do or whatever. I'm sort of bored with his little tasks and having someone to play with keeps me occupied."

Sighing, Vincencio shook his head. "Why do you choose to follow Valmar, young one? I do not understand it, have I not taught you that war and bloodshed is not everything?" He looks exasperated, but simply stands up. Shaking his head. He walks over to the weapon stand, touching each hilt and shaft softly, almost carresing them. "If you tire of Valmar's blathering on, simply leave him, or let him know that you shall not stand for it. I know you my dear, you hate that he has more power than yourself. What is it that you plan to do?" He turns toward her quickly, the fatherly gaze stern. She knew better than to lie to him, and if she didn't he would have to reteach her that little lesson.

Zephyr gave her sire a look of defiance and shrugged her shoulders. She wasn't going to tell him her plans. But she wasn't about to lie to him, either. So she'd just be quiet, change the topic. "I stick with Valmar because he follows Seriah, all be it barely," she stated with a nod. "So if I leave Valmar, I'm leaving Seriah. At least, that's how Valmar put it. Did you hear what he did to Ashemir? I'd prefer not to deal with that sort of thing. All Ashemir did was eavesdrop on some stupid conversation between Valmar and the new guy... Draven, I think. I heard about it from one of the other soldiers. Apparently, Valmar didn't like the fact that Ashemir was listening and got away so he punished him. It was wicked, the damage done to his armor. I would have never figured the blonde had it in him to attack someone like Valmar." She snickered, amused by the entire thing, though she wasn't too very happy that Valmar was being so stupid with his power.

Vincencio shook his head at her when she decided to change the topic. "No I hadn't heard anything about his actions against Ashemir, I dont really know Ashemir anyways, I have never run into him though I know him by reputation." Vincencio was amused by the story, but nothing beyond amusement stirred in the old vampire. "Come now youngling, you of all people should know that people can be decieving, act innocent long enough and that is all they believe that you are. Show them a sweet face and they forget about the hidden daggars and dangers." He chuckles and moved to stand beside her, wrapping an arm around her petite shoulders.

Zephyr smiled at Vincencio as he wrapped an arm around her. She was trying really hard to impress him, to show him she was getting better, that she wasn't so young. But she still had years to go before she would be at his level of intelligence and patience and she knew she wasn't able to act like him. But she was trying, at least. She leaned up and kissed his cheek, then looked around her room with a sigh. "Vincencio, do you think I should come visit you sometime?" she asked, lifting her eyes to his again. "If Valmar will let me, that is. If I'm not needed for something around here."
